Whats your regular routine ? Can we learn new things from each other
-
I tend to work on the on page changes first of all following keyword research. Then take a look at some internal linking,
Setup a wordpress blog on /blog or sub domain and get my copywriter to start adding regular content .
Next stage is link building
Old fashioned emails requests, blog comments taking a look through existing sites we own for relevant places.
On going analysis once positions change.

Well, lets hope that when they sort the h1 issue, it goes higher still
I didn't check the source to look at the CMS, is it a custom CMS?
Re: it's existing rankings, although h1's are important, like most SEO triggers, they are just a part of the pie... if everything else is taken care of nicely, then rankings are still possible even without optimised h1 tags.
Oh, and thanks for taking the post the right way!

Hi no worries yeah I totally agree. The company that provides the CMS are making this possible soon.
I am still amazed this site is first page for mens skincare already.

Hi
Just chipping in here, so hope it is welcomed, and you don't take offence!
http://www.dryhide.co.uk/ - the h1 tag is 'Home' Is this intentional? Would you not consider using a relevant phrase?
Hope you take the question as it is intended, helpful advice, and not a criticism!
-
Would you guys be open to share some examples of your work ? Here are a few of mine -
http://www.dryhide.co.uk and http://www.alfrescolivingonline.co.uk
Working on both of these at the moment would be cool to get any positive or negative (you can improve here) feedback.

I pretty much do the same for clients, but I also correct errors, add more headings where appropriate, add bold text subtitles (basically follow the SEOmoz guide). I also go social. I recommend Hootsuite.com to manage and analyze social media campaigns. It's been noted that Google likes fresh content, so keeping active on Twitter, Facebook, forums, etc. does count. Starting a newsletter helps with inbound traffic, too.
I also take it offline. Getting the word out in mailings, ads, posters, etc. with your website address or a qr code makes things fun and does increase traffic. Hold events, participate in gatherings, join clubs, etc. to get the word out. If you have the budget and it's relevant to your business, building a mobile app for all smartphone platforms will get you an application page and inbound links to your site on very high ranking sites.
Oh there is so much more. I'll post again when I get a second wind.

Go out to the SERPs looking for the best content for a group of keywords that I want to write about.
Decide if I can beat the best content out there. If "yes" the project moves forward.
Spend a few days to a couple of weeks working on the content.
Toss up the finished content being sure that it has a good title tag and social share buttons.
Write a blog post about the new content, add links to the new content at appropriate locations on our site.
Back out to the SERPs looking at content for another set of keywords.

Inbound Affiliate Links: can this solution help?
Hello everyone, I have a pretty large e-commerce website and a bunch (about 1,000) affiliates using our in-house affiliate system we built several years ago (about 12 years ago?). All our affiliates link to us as follows: http://mywebsite.com/page/?aff=[aff_nickname] Then our site parses the request, stores a cookie to track the user, then 301 redirects to the clean page URL below: http://mywebsite.com/page/ Since 2013 we require all affiliates to link to us by using the rel="nofollow" tag to avoid any penalties, but I still see a lot of affiliate links not using the nofollow or old affiliates that have not updated their pages. So... I was reading on this page from Google, that any possible "scheme" penalization can be fixed by using either the nofollow tag or by using an intermediate page listed on the robots.txt file: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66356?hl=en Do you think that could really be a reliable solution to avoid any possible penalization coming from affiliate links not using the "nofollow" tag? I have searched and read around the web but I couldn't find any real answer to my question. Thanks in advance to anyone. Best, Fab.

Our web site lost ranking on google a couple of years ago. We have done lots of work on it but still can not improve our search ranking. Can anyone give us some advise
A couple of years ago the ranking on our site dropped over night. I believe someone working here at the time purchased links about that time. We have been doing lots of work on the site since then to improve it. We can not get our rankings back up on google searches. Can anyone give us some advise about what to do or where to go for some help that we can trust.

New FB page feature LOOKS AWESOME how to get it for me too??
So I was commenting on an article that my girlfriend shared and the coolest thing happened. Check out the screens for details, but basically, as soon as i finished my comment and pressed enter, a little like box prompt window popped up. This was on FB not on their site, and I thought that was awesome. Anyone heard of, or no what is required to get this for other pages??? Thanks!! Tyler Abernethy 0KyS0wQ.png?1

My point is does seomoz provides any services for improving position in google or simply seomoz provides only reporting? These reports are good but my ultimate goal to join seomoz is to improve my rankings for my each website and each post. Please help. BJ

Acquisition of a new site in the same field.
Hello, I work with SEO for a company that just bought another in the same field. What is better to do? Just a 301 domain? Make 301 per page for a related page (more than 10,000 URLs, i'am afraid that this may be interpreted as blackhat ) or make crossdomain canonical tag urls related to (I believe this is not good, because the pages are not fully equal). thank's

Is Google taking longer to rank new sites?
We run a lot of "niche blogs" and websites focused on fairly non-competitive keywords. At the start of the year, we used to be able to put up websites and be able to achieve almost instant rankings on these sites. However, recently, it seems to be taking a lot longer for these sites to rank. It also seems to be taking longer for Google to index links. Is this a recent change in Google to protect against spam and help filter out the lower quality sites? Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
