Google May Update
-
As per google the May update takes care of all content scrapping sites
Then why is this site - http://www.viduba.com is still having good ranking ?
All of its videos are hotlinkled from youtube
-
Yes the other sites in SERP are not very competitive , do not have access to semrush logs any more
-
Again, the term "well" is very relative. You can be a relatively bad site, but if the other sites using that term are worse, then you can rank well.
Can you offer some examples for key words that this site ranks in the top 3 for? If not, then choose their best ranking key word from the first page of SERP.

I have even checked the site with semrush.com , it does rank well for many kewords

Alexa is ranking the site's TRAFFIC. That is an important thing to understand.
I can create a bad, one-page site, advertise it, promote it, and Alexa will still show the site's traffic.
That is much different the organic page ranking. The Google Panda update has to do with how sites appear in SERP. The correlation is, that sites which do better in SERP will do better in Alexa. It is possible for a site to do well in Alexa even if they don't do well in Google.

Becasue they have good alexa rank , which is not manipulaed and something I have been monitoring for past 6 months and it has gradually increased
I got interested in the site siince their sister site - http://vidoevo.com/ was autctioned on flippa.com some time back... Even this site has good rankings ...I have been tracking them ever since
-
How did you determine they have "good" ranking?
They have a domain authority of 15, which I wouldn't refer to as good ranking.
-
These updates by Google are applied algorithmically. This means that they are applied based on a set of standards, which should affect as many 'bad' sites as possible, while at the same moment affect as few 'good' sites as possible.
For some reason the website you're mentioning apparently didn't match the algorithmic criteria to get hit by lower rankings (on this series of updates).

What to do when Google automatically replaces the page title.
Hello Friends, Might you all are aware of the scenario when Google auto generates the snippets for search results. But nowadays I am seeing some changes like google is showing some specific words in the last of search results title for every page of my website. It looks Google is treating those words as the brand name. I have tried many things to solve this but unfortunately, nothing works for this. Does anyone see the same changes? Can anybody help me out with this or suggest me the reasons behind this.

Should I use the Google disavow tool?
Hi I'm a bit new to SEO and am looking for some guidance. Although there is no indication in Webmaster tools that my site is being penalised for bad links, I have noticed that I have over 200 spam links for "Pay Day Loans" pointing to my site. (This was due to a hack on my site several years ago). So my question is two fold. Firstly, is it normal to have spammy links pointing to your site and secondly, should I bother to do anything about it? I did some research into the Disavow tool in Webmaster tools wonder I should use it to block all these links. Thanks

Website is not indexed in Google
Hi Guys, I have a problem with a website from a customer. His website is not indexed in Google (except for the homepage). I could not find anything that can possibly be the cause. I already checked the robots.txt, sitemap, and plugins on the website. In the HTML code i also couldn't find anything which makes indexing harder than usual. This is the website i am talking about: http://www.xxxx.nl/ (Dutch) The only thing that i am guessing now is the Google sandbox, but even that is quite unlikely. I hope you guys discover something i could not find! Thanks in advance 🙂

Influencing Google Instant Preview
Hello there! I have been looking at how our articles are shown in Google Instant Previews. While the description in the SERPs picks up the first paragraph from the article from the main table/div body, the Instant Preview highlights a text ad in the top right of the side column. According to Google https://sites.google.com/site/webmasterhelpforum/en/faq-instant-previews Q: How can I influence the text highlighted in the preview image?
Technical SEO | | CleverPhD
A: The highlighted text is automatically chosen based on the user's search query. Only text that is visible on the page can be selected for highlighting. Google is highlighting the same block of text from an ad space over and over again. "Download our Free Guide ...." vs the first paragraph in the article. Any ideas folks?0 -
Google Index Speed Opinions
Hello Everyone, Under normal circumstances, new posts to my site are indexed almost instantly by Google. I know this because an occasional search with quotation marks surrounding the 1st paragraph of text displays my newly published page. I use this tactic from time to time to ensure contributors aren't syndicating content. My question is this: I've noticed over the last day or so that my newly published articles are not yet indexed. For example, an article that was published over 24 hours ago does not appear to be indexed yet. Is this cause for concern? Is there an average wait time for indexation? XML issue? Thanks in advance for the help/insight.

Sitemaps for Google
In Google Webmaster Central, if a URL is reported in your site map as 404 (Not found), I'm assuming Google will automatically clean it up and that the next time we generate a sitemap, it won't include the 404 URL. Is this true? Do we need to comb through our sitemap files and remove the 404 pages Google finds, our will it "automagically" be cleaned up by Google's next crawl of our site?
