SEO Company Referral
-
I am looking for a great US based SEO company referral. I try to do as much as I can on my end but the more I learn, then more I find I need help to do a great job. Lately running the business takes most of my time, and we need a team who really specializes in SEO.
Can anyone recommend a SEO company with a great reputation, someone who has done great work for you in the past? I get many people contacting me with SEO promises, but I need some advice from someone with more experience than me.
I appreciate all of your insights.

Mike,
Great advice, thank you. I am in the health care field. I have done well optimizing my on page seo (I get an A from seo mox grading for my keyword). I only need to optimize for a local keyword, which shows to be low to moderately competitive. So local search and off site seo is what I am looking for.
I am happy to pay for a quality service, I have not had the best results with my previous company as far as results. What I am looking for is a very credible and competent SEO firm that works with small businesses. Once I am successful with this keyword I am interested in optimizing or ecom site for a more competitive keyword.

I would suggest you give a little more information about the web site and business. Some SEO's are very strong in certain verticals, while not as much in the others.
Look for a SEO who has proven and verifiable background in your type business. Also look for one that matched your company's culture, There are a lot of highly competent SEO firms on SEOmoz, so I am sure you will find several that match your requirements.

Hi,
Nicole Munoz - owner of www.startrankingnow.com is a real SEO expert. She offers a range of SEO services with either US or Phillppine based workers depending on your needs. She also teaches SEO and is a faculty member of Stompernet.com.
I recently attended one of Stompernet SEO Pro courses in Atlanta, on which she lectured and can not recommend her highly enough! Apart from running her company she teaches all over the USA (on Stompernet SEO Pro courses) so is very worth talking to even if you decide to use someone else.
Hope that helps! Tim W

Thomas,
Thank you very much for your quick reply. I will look into both of these referrals. Do you know if Distilled is a more of a SEO consultant or do they provide the SEO services?
Thanks again,
J

Hi there,
I have previously worked with Distilled (www.distilled.net) who is also ooficial partner with SEOmoz. They have an office in Seattle, and just opened a new one in New York today.
I have heard great things about Seer (www.seerinteractive.com), but I haven't worked with them. They are based in Philly.
Best,
Thomas

Dmoz: I want to submit but I think the SEO company I was working with already did, how to check this?
Hi Guys, A part from the obvious I have searched Dmoz to see if my company was listed and its still not listed after 8 months. I have 3 top level domains same content, but targeting different countries, can I submit all 3 domains or only one? Any other way to find out if my domain for NZ was approved? I would love to submit the AU,and COM but not sure if I would be going outside their guidelines. Any insight would be much appreciated Thanks

Is Snip.ly bad for SEO?
Hi, I'm using the software snip.ly, which allows me to add call to action into content I publish through social media. It's really powerful but I'm wondering how it can affect my SEO? Snip.ly now appears into my link report and its spam score is only 2, which is good. However I'm afraid that in the long term, it can be bad: links are created manually by the webmarketer Topics of this website are infinite the ancor is the same Your thoughts?..

Local SEO for Pregnancy Centers?
So, the thing is, we don't want these websites associated with anything pro-life or Christian. So, we can't list them in those directories. And we can't list them in abortion provider directories because they don't do abortions. The organizaitons are Christian, pro-life -- but the target audience is the complete opposite. How can I effectively market their services without crossing any boundaries?

Am I Doing This Wrong? Ecommerce SEO
I ran my site through the SEOMoz On-Page Optimization tool and one of the problems noted was "Keyword Self-Cannibalization" in this case, it was stating I was using the keyword "Board Games" too much. Site in question: http://theboardgamers.co.uk/ The problem being is that every product link contains the word "Board Game" - Which makes sense, but I guess it may look spammy to the SEO world. Would it be best to remove the "board game" part from each internal link and only leave it in the URL structure?

What are the best suites of SEO tools?
I normally use SEOmoz and a bit of SEMrush but I dont really know much outside of those two. Im looking to do a review of the big, trustworthy ones - along the lines of free trial price vs value ranktracking linkbuilding help onpage analysis and help competitor analysis reports I heard good things about Raven Tools and Web CEO. Ive seen mention of SEOpowersuite on this forum but the site looks spammy as hell Anyone have a view on those 5 tools or any others in a similar vein? Or any other top line criteria I should be looking at? Cheers

Do interstitials hurt SEO?
If you go to www.homeportfolio.com and click on one of the links in the footer. you'll notice you are presented with an interstitial. Can you tell me if that hurts our SEO and if we lose any link juice or suffer in any other way as a result of this linking method? my main concern is whether having anchor text that says "bathroom ideas" that goes to an interstitial that doesn't mention bathroom ideas is non-relevant... even if it refreshes 12 seconds to a page that is.
