Why does not the Linking Root Domains pick update?

The linking root domains is not reading the linking domains, Google shows 38, seo tool shows 180 another seo shows 92 and site explore shows 5.

You are absolutely right, I got the index page to redirect
to sort numerous homepage issue.I am complete stuck, if i redirect for the pages to display
the correct homepage, my blog stops workings and my linking domain gets split.

Maybe it's because you have two home pages. Each one splitting your backlinks.
http://www.1step2heaven.co.uk/index.php
and
http://www.1step2heaven.co.uk/
Or some of those links might not be counted due to having bought links.
I wouldn't focus on your statistical discrepancies at this stage. Instead I'd focus on adding more quality links and adding strong content to your website.

Thats all true but i know for fact i have more than 5 Root domain linking back to me. For some reason site explore doese not pick it up but yesterday it did for 3 hours it linked 16 domain then droped back to 5 again?

You will see different statistics for each SEO tool. Some don't take into account linking domains that are spam, some do. Some don't count duplicate domains, some do. Etc.
The same thing happens with traffic statistics. GWT and Google Analytics rarely line up on site traffic numbers. It's more important to follow trends over time than the actual numbers.

More than 100 links
Hi Everyone, I was trawling through You Tube and came across this video from Matt Cuts from Google about the 100 links limit being removed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6g5hoBYlf0&feature=relmfu I then logged into my SEO account as I remember a previous report we did for a competitor where they had quite a number of pages just over the 100 links, but only barely (They are highlighted in SEOmoz as a warning). Given that google has removed this number from their guidelines and it's clear that a few over 100 isn't as bad as it used to be, is it not about time this was changed or looked at again? Maybe even put ones like these under a new title such as recommendation rather that the alarmist Warning one unless it's ridiculously high? Competitive Link finder tool
I tried to use competitive link finder tool. it says that it will identify 10 most important links that my competitor get that I do not. The results that I get are inconsistent with linkscape tool. For example my competitor has a link on www lawyer-links dot info Google rank of that site is 1. Is that really one of their most important links?

How to Calculate % improvement in Mozrank and Domain Authority
I understand the concept that mozrank and Domain Authority are measured on a logarithmic scale . http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/mozrank I'm trying to determine the percentage improvement in the Logrithmic value. For example Original Domain Authority 60 Original Mozrank 5 End Domain Authority 63 End Mozrank 6. So 5% change in DA and 20% change in MozRank. How do we convert these numbers to the real logrithmic change?

Moz Toolbar Analyzer - Links
On the moz toolbar there is an Analyze tool. The third tab is for viewing Page Attributes. That page contains a section called On Page Links. I can see the External Link count, but I need to drill down further to look at these external links. I have viewed a page and don't see the external links this tool is seeing. I have searched the page, the source code, and used other tools on the page. The numbers don't match up. Is there a tool which lists all the external links on a given page?

How often is Open Site Explorer updated?
Or perhaps my question is actually how often does the seomoz bot crawl the web? I ran some benchmark link counts for a number of websites about this time last month and I noticed when I went to update them for this month the data is the same. Thanks.
