HTTPS site in Open Site Explorer
-
I'm looking at a site for which the https URL currently ranks in Google. Using a header checker on the http URL I see that it is being 302 redirected to the https version (I have no control or input on this site).
In OSE there's no option to specify an https URL as the http part is pre-populated and uneditable. My question is: does OSE treat the https and http version as the same URL? I'm guessing so as the http URL has a lot of domain authority despite not being the "default" URL.

Thanks. It's a finance site and they've decided to make the entire visible site on https, not just specific pages. The http URL redirects to the https version.

Thanks. As mentioned, the site isn't ours or (currently) one of our clients.

Hi, currently OSE does not handle HTTPS request but it's on the road map to be complete in the future. When our crawler for OSE crawls the web it currently does not crawl HTTPS pages, hence they are not included as an option to pull from. This hopefully will be coming in the next few months as we just added it to our web app.

I would make your redirect a 301, not a 302.
OSE should treat them as the same, its just a secure version of your site, there is no duplicate content, its the same site.

On page Grader is not working on specific site
Hello.
Moz Pro | | livedigm
When I try to use 'On Page Grader' on specific site, I get an error message. "
Page Optimization Error
There was a problem loading this page. Please make sure the page is loading properly and that our user-agent, rogerbot, is not blocked from accessing this page.
"
example : https://www.livedigm.com Site's robots.txt settings are good. and I think there's no blocking factor. But On Page Grader cannot crawl the sites.
But campaign crawler is working well on the site. only On Page Grader is not working.. What should I change my server's setting or site's setting for crawling site on my site?
I'm using wordpress on cloudways / Digitalocean(singapore) server. Thank you.0 -
A keyword my site ranks on has recently dropped from no 2 to 51+ after weeks ranking high.
Any ideas? The full SERP analysis still puts it at no 2 so I'm quite confused

Moz Spam Analysis vs. GWMT Links to Your Site
Hi Moz Community, I have been conducting some link auditing and started comparing the Moz Spam Analysis tool with the links provided in Google WMT. It appears that the Moz Spam Analysis tools shows an aggregate of links that Moz may or may not consider spam, however when you download and look at Google's "Links to Your Site" list it provides every link iteration known to man that's pointing to the target website - without providing any hints as to whether or not a link may be considered spam by Google. The biggest concern I have here is that Google is picking up a lot of links, which I consider spam, that do not appear in the Moz Spam Analysis results. I guess the question(s) I have are: Does it make sense to compare these two data sets? Has anyone else tried this comparison and how did you use the information to make positive changes? Any recommendations when it comes to determining if an external link is spam/hurting/helping a website? Thank you!

Open site explorer, why are my social media metrics incorrect?
In open site explorer the Facebook and twitter stats are very low in correlation to what we think it should be. Twitter - 129 Total tweets and retweets of this URL since March 2010, including tweets of the URL with unique parameters added. We tweet our URL and people retweet our url several times a day, why is this figure so low? Facebook - 268 shares, 133 likes. Our Facebook page has 16,767 likes · 1,373 talking about this. Surely this figure should be higher? Could it be that its not linked to our site properly some how? im unsure, can any one shed any light on this please?

Opensite Explorer
It may sound like a stupid question but what kind of likes and shares is Opensite Explorer referring at? Is it just how much your page gets liked and shared or about the posts on FB?

How come a site with low PR and DA is first on everything?
Hi All, I've encountered a site that has PR3 on most important pages (and less on others but no more on any) and DA according to MOZ in the low 40's however it is first on everything on his niche (many keywords). How is it possible? Since it is possible, what is the importance of these metrics anyhow? Thanks

Why would a site w/lower metrics across the board have the highest DA?
We are competing with other national brands and have a competitor who is NOT a national brand and who does NOT have any metrics ranking higher. With the latest SEOMoz metric update this week, they (hawaiianjewelryshop) now have the highest DA in Link Analysis. Has anyone else experienced this? Can SEOMoz explain this for us, please? It would be great if Matt Peters would respond to this question. The sites in question are: www.nahoku.com
