Date in the video search results

How to control date display in the Google video SERP?
Even if pages don't have dates in it, Google displays dates for some results.
Try with this:
Search query: Thanks video
- Check the third result.
Thanks.

I'm not sure about this, if you will embed a YouTube video you would say they would be able to determine to the publication date because Google ownes the data. You could give it a try by testing.

Thanks for your answer.
So if this tag is not provided, can we expect that Google will not display the date?
Thanks.

Hi,
Videos are included for sites within the SERPs by submitting a video SItemap to Google. Within the sitemap you have the possibility to add the tag: video:publication_date, this tag will provide Google with the data for the date you'll find in the SERPs.</video:publication_date>
video:publication_date2007-11-05T19:20:30+08:00</video:publication_date>
More information on how to use this and what kind of formats for this tag/ video sitemap could be found here.

Is the Google results serp broken?
Hi everyone! We've been trying to decipher how many of our pages are indexed by google at the moment. If we do the usual "site:https://www.hobbydb.com" search term, the serp says that we have more than 740,000 pages indexed. However, when I do a deep dive and click through to the last page of results, I can only get to page 54, and then there are no more results. This would mean that I only have 540 pages indexed, not 740,000. We have also done other queries for other sub-sections of our website, and the results also truncate at 50 pages. Has anyone run into this problem? Any suggestions are appreciated! Best, Alex

Do the terms in a website url drive search hits
I've tried to do a search on a few key words that I knew was on my landing page and I couldn't get Google to find it. So I thought maybe I needed to change my url to reflect a few the terms.

Amazing results even after 1 week!
Have to say, I'm pretty impressed with Moz, this is now my first full week of membership and wow have I seen some great increases in my site stats! Hopefully this isn't just a blip and that it wil continue for weeks and months to come. Authority has jumped from 27 to 34 Google page one results jumped from 7 to 13 Trafffic increased by 12% Solved duplicate content issues Started a proactive social media campaign I could go on and on, but can't say enough positive things about the services that are provided here, an investment well worth paying and already paying for itself. The goal for the next few weeks is to improve domain authority from 34 to 40+, I've been using long tail phrases for my articles, which has been tremendously beneficial. One query is that even though the domain authority has moved from 27 - 34, I don't appear to have gained any extra backlinks - perhaps I'm misunderstand this metric? The other query is that there are 100's of backlinks pointing to my domain (I provide an open source cms so I know the links are there), but none of these lnks appear to be counting towards my authority. Is there a way I can submit these pages to the index on their behalf? Cheers, Lee

Self proclaimed 5 stars showing in organic search??
Hi there - I've just come across this site that has ratings showing in the organic listings, yet - I can't see any ratings for it online - other than a text listing on the site's own home page? The site in question has a facebook page with no followers, and a twitter account with the same, no google plus account, no google local maps listing. I've only ever seen "actual" google reviews and other citations being combined, averaged - then shown in search as an aggregated number. Is it just me - or does Google accept these self rated reviews on face value??!! See images attached... The URL of the site is here: http://www.home-securitysystems.com.au The search phrase they rank no.1 for is "Alarm System Melbourne" - which is pretty decent. Any ideas? Cheers, Dave oi86 oi8o

No Search Results Found - Should this return status code 404?
A question came up today on how to correctly serve the right status code on pages where no search results are found. I did a couple searches on some major eccomerce and news sites and they were ALL serving status code 200 for No Search Results Found http://www.zappos.com/dsfasdgasdgadsg http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sdafasdklgjasdklgjsjdjkl http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=dfjakljgdkslagklasd&_sacat=0 http://www.cnn.com/search/?query=sdgadgdsagas&x=0&y=0&primaryType=mixed&sortBy=date&intl=false http://www.seomoz.org/pages/search_results?q=sdagasdgasdgasg I thought I read somewhere were it was recommended to serve a status code 404 on these types of pages. Based on what I found above, all sites were serving a 200, so it appears this may not be the best practice. Any thoughts?
