Why bother with Delicious when the bookmarks are no-follow?
-
i'm wondering why people suggest Delicious as a social bookmarking service for SEO when from what I can see all the urls are set to no-follow?
-
thanks for answering this - makes sense.

You do not want to build a link profile with 100% do-follow links you can also include some no-follow to make the profile look natural.
Also Delicious has a great amount of traffic.

Search engines are increasingly using signals from social networks to determine the trustworthiness and value of webpages. If people are bookmarking your pages or sharing on other networks, this suggests that you have a quality site and are less likely to be a spammer.
-
If your links are growing "NATURALLY" there is no way all of them could be do-follow. There should be a proportion of no-follow with do-follow.
Also, no-follow links can be very useful when it comes to traffic. Most websites like youtube delicious etc. have no-follow but they can bring some good targeted traffic to your website.

How to increase external and internal followed links?
From analyzing my competitor‘s websites I can see that I have way fewer external and internal followed links. The number of followed links my competitors are getting each week increases by around 300. Where do these links come from? How can I increase my followed links ?

Do-follow links from social media
I am experimenting with some blogs and online communities for backlinks. The Moz bar shows this link as do-follow, but it has the internal redirecting link. My brain is frozen and I can't remember what it's called to look up how it affects SEO. Can anyone enlighten me?

Are stackoverflow links follow or nofollow?
I've tried to find the answer to this question myself, but I've found differing opinions. The conclusion I've come to is that Stackoverflow allows follow links when the user that posts the link has sufficient reputation or if the link receives user validation. Has anyone else here used Stackoverflow.com that knows the answer to this question? 🙂

Do Follow- Social Media sites
Does anyone have a list of do follow social media network sites. I am looking to list some of my customers on social media network sites, but having the bonus of do follow to pass link Juice is an extra bonus. Most of my customers have Twitter and Facebook profiles- but these happen to be no follows. I am looking for more social media sites that are do follow. I did see an article on this- on SEM MOz I believe but I cant find it. Any suggestions?
