Is there a tool that lists all external followed URLs?
Or maybe separates nofollowed and followed external URLs?
-
Going to have to code my own when I have time...
-
I"d go with Majestic SEO here. They have a pretty fresh index, gets updated just about daily i believe.
-
Once more, I second the question as I'm not sure about a tool that will do this.
Has anyone got the answer??
-
Thats for one page. I would want a domain wide solution
-
Oh, i've figured out the answer here.
Use the SEOMoz tool bar (for firefox or chrome) and choose "highlight links or text" from the toolbar, and then highlight all the followed, nofollowed etc links.
Hope that helps.
-
Oh right, I think I know what you are talking about - And in this case, I second the question..
Does anyone know of such a tool?
Regarding getting the other data (on the fly), just in case anyone else wants to know: Go for a Browser tool bar like SEOMoz toolbar or SEO Quake..
-
Hi Nick,
I was actually asking for a tool that would scan for this on the fly.
I know that Xenu finds broken links & a total link summary, but I need to be able to differentiate nofollowed external links with external links. Does something like this exist?
-
Yes, if you go and check out/try SEOMoz's Open Site Explorer, this tool lists external followed URLs to a site.
Followed and NoFollowed links are pointed out quite clearly throughout. You can even filter to just show "followed" or "nofollwed" links.
Hope that helps.

Link juice through URL parameters
Hi guys, hope you had a fantastic bank holiday weekend. Quick question re URL parameters, I understand that links which pass through an affiliate URL parameter aren't taken into consideration when passing link juice through one site to another. However, when a link contains a tracking URL parameter (let's say gclid=), does link juice get passed through? We have a number of external links pointing to our main site, however, they are linking directly to a unique tracking parameter. I'm just curious to know about this. Thanks, Brett

Should I care about this Webmaster Tools Message
Here is the message: "Googlebot found an extremely high number of URLs on your site: http://www.uncommongoods.com/" Should i try to do anything about this? We are not having any indexation issues so we think Google is still crawling our whole site. What could be some possible repercussions of ignoring this? Thanks Mozzers! -Zack

Changing your URL? Impact on rankings?
I have been thinking about changing our webadres for quite a while but I'm too afraid of the impact on my SERP. I understand I would need to use the Google Change of Address tool & 301 redirects. Am I missing something? What is your experience with changing the URL of a website? How has this impacted your SERP? In the past I heard someone say it will damage the linkjuice by 20%. Is that accurate? If you change the URL, is there a blank period of where your old site nor your new site are indexed? Or does Google handle this transition well?

URL errors in Google Webmaster Tool
Hi Within Google Webmaster Tool 'Crawl errors' report by clicking 'Not found' it shows 404 errors its found. By clicking any column headings and it will reorder them. One column is 'Priority' - do you think Google is telling me its ranked the errors in priority of needing a fix? There is no reference to this in the Webmaster tool help. Many thanks Nigel

Renaming a URL
Hi, If we rename a URL (below) http://www.opentext.com/2/global/company/company-ecm-positioning.htm
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | pstables
to http://www.opentext.com/2/global/products/enterprise-content-management.htm (or something similar) Would search engines recognize that as a new page altogether? I know they would need to reindex it accordingly, so in theory it is kind of a "new" page. But the reason for doing this is to maintain the page's metrics (inbound links, authority, social activity, etc) instead of creating a new page from scratch. The page has been indexed highly in the past, so we want to keep it active but optimize it better and redirect other internal content (that's being phased out) to it to juice it up even more. Thanks in advance!

Blog links - follow or nofollow?
I need my memory refreshed here! Say, I've got a blog and some of the posts have links to recommended external sites and content. Should these be nofollowed? They're not paid links or anything like that, simply things relevant to the post.

Is it OK to have a site that has some URLs with hyphens and other, older, legacy URLs that use underscores?
I'm working with a VERY large site that has recently been redesigned/recategorized. They kept only about 20% of the URLs from the legacy site, the URLs that had revenue tied to them, and these URLs use underscores. Whereas the new URLs created for the site use hyphens. I don't think that this would be an issue for Google, as long as the pages are of quality, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion on this. Will it hurt me to have two different sets of URLs, those with using hyphens and those using underscores?
