Redirecting Existing Domains to My Main Site
-
Hi
I have a main property related website featuring different countries around the world. I also have many different seperate country websites 20+. All keyword rich domains with a good 9 years+ domain age and PR3's with decent links and moz rankings and unique content. Many of the sites are very low Alexa rank now and receive little traffic.
I don't have the time now to spend on each of the individual domains and am wanting to consolidate them and their PR juice to the corresponding country page of my main website.
My question is - is it possible - will google see this as me trying to manipulate them and is my main site likely to suffer from any penalties or downgrading?
Thanks for your input.

Gosh, there is a lot going on here so it's kind of tricky to give an answer to this without seeing the domains and doing some analysis but I can give you some general advice.
First, check this post out, it's old but relevant:
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/seo-guide-how-to-properly-move-domains
After that, the big one here is are you trying to do something that is manipulative? If not, as long as you redirect the sites to the relevant content rather than just folding them in, you should be okay.
Done right, if the sites themselves are clean, then nothing bad should happen but again I am just shooting from the hip here with no links.
To play devils advocate - if they have no traffic, is there much benefit to the redirection? Do they have valuable links? Content etc? Will you move the content and then do individual redirects or are they just old doorway pages that have really stopped working now?
Worst case, you could always kill the redirects if it causes you a problem and you would bounce back but really, this all depends on the status of the sites themselves and whether any other funny business has been done to the main site or these other sites.
So.... impossible to give a 100% answer here without more details but I hope this helps.

How long will old pages stay in Google's cache index. We have a new site that is two months old but we are seeing old pages even though we used 301 redirects.
Two months ago we launched a new website (same domain) and implemented 301 re-directs for all of the pages. Two months later we are still seeing old pages in Google's cache index. So how long should I tell the client this should take for them all to be removed in search?

Infinite 302 redirects on a site using Angular JS
I'm not quite sure what I'm seeing here. It's a site that uses Angular JS (version 1) and the crawl is showing infinite 302 redirects, but the redirects are all to the same URL? Here's an example: https://www.razoo.com/us/story/Armco-Park-Foundation Has anyone seen this before? What causes it and how do I counsel the client on how to fix it?

Does it make sense to combine multiple news sites under one domain?
My company operates multiple news site brands across several markets and typically operates one website per market/brand. We've been advised that in the case of one of the newer markets, where each brand might only be publishing 3 articles a week, that combining all that market's brands under one domain will drive higher traffic from search because Google values higher article flow. Getting this done will be a lot of work. Is the juice worth the squeeze? And assuming we get the UX right and execute 301 redirects correctly, are there major risks to search traffic?

301 or 302 Redirects to Mobile Site
When it's detected that a mobile device is accessing the site it has the ability to redirect from www.example.com to m.example.com. Does it make more sense to employ a 301 or 302 redirect here? Google says a 301 but does not explain why (although usually I stick to "when in doubt, 301") . It seems like a 302 would prevent passing link juice to the mobile site and having mobile-optimized results also showing up in Google's index. What is the preference here?

Separate Site or should we incorporate it into our main site
Hello, We have a website to sell personal development trainings. The owners want to start 2 blogs - one for each owner - that promotes their personal coaching practices. What's the SEO advantages of embedding both blogs in the current site vs starting 2 brand new blogs with their names as the domain names?

In mobile searches, does Google recognize HTML5 sites as mobile sites?
Does Google recognize HTML5 sites using responsive design as mobile sites? I know that for mobile searches, Google promotes results on mobile sites. I'm trying to determine if my site, created in HTML5 with responsive design falls into that category. Any insights on the topic would be very helpful.

Are the results provided by site:domain.com + keyword a good indicator of the quality of certain pages? For example, should the first result be more relevant, have a higher number of links, etc than the second result?
