After 10th August ranking has changed

Good evening,
I hava a questiong regardin the ranking after 10th August. I hava an online tire shop and the ranking has changed that means I was on the first position on search term "anvelope" and now I am on the 3 rd place.
I have unique content, few duplicate content and still in front of my site there are sites with huge duplicate content and not so unique.
Is it a coincidence that the position has changed on the 10 August or I was affected by Emanuel?
How Emanuel update can affect an online tire shop?
In other city's I am on the firs place.

If you know you've got other people's stuff on your site then get it off. Emanuel penalizes sites that have repeated DMCA takedown requests.
But I highly doubt this is Emanuel.
You may be confusing Emanuel and Panda. Panda is about poor quality content...but there was no Panda update on August 3rd, plus a Panda update would drop you way lower than #3!!!
My main site varies between #1 and #3 for it's main keyword all the time. And it's not because I have a penalty.

Emanuel penalizes sites for excessive copyright infringement, nothing to do with content quality.
The best course of action is an on page audit + content/link building plan based on your strengths/weaknesses.

Thank you for your answer. I thought too that some algorithm as changed and has been applied in the same time with Emanuel update.
Oleg, I read about Emanuel penalties poor quality content. I am sure that I have a very good quality content but my appreciation it can be not same with google. I write the content using over then 3 sources and is unique. I thought that Emanuel penalties me for the pour quality content.
Marie, the rankings were the same for over 3 months . Maybe they has some link building strategy The domain is old. The position was ranked by SeoMoz ranking and me with incognito search.
Do you think I should go on with link building strategy?

A drop from position 1 to 3 is pretty unlikely to be a penalty. I can think of a few reasons for the drop:
-Normal ranking fluctuation
-Some minor algorithm change
-Your competitor is kicking your butt in acquiring quality links
-The initial high ranking was a honeymoon boost (if it is a relatively new site)
-What you thought was initially #1 was actually a personalized result
-
Probably a coincidence.. rankings do fluctuate. If you were hit by Emmanuel, you probably wouldn't be on the front page, let alone #3.
In additional, your competitors could have just improved their rankings (and as a result, your's dropped)

Changing Targeted Keywords on Landing Page
So we have a landing page that is ranking for a few of our targeted keywords but we are thinking about splitting the page into two and moving some of the content onto its own page. Our page at the moment has allot of content for keyword A and a little bit for keyword B, we are ranking for quite a few search terms around keyword A and a couple (but allot less) around keyword B, so we want to create a new page with content for keyword B ...hopefully that makes sense... So my question is are there any best practices around this sort of thing? We obviously dont want to negatively affect the rankings we are already gaining for keyword A and I'm worried that moving content around will do that. Thanks!

Page not ranking despite indicators showing should easily be mid-1st page?
I have many years old website selling a service. The main keyword is 47% competitive, and we used to be #1 page 2, occasionally page 1 couple years back. Domain authority is double of any of the competitors on 1st page, followed root domain links is many times that of 1st page competitors, infact against some of them almost 10 times as much, MozRank and MozTrust higher too. Infact, every metric is higher than competition. Only metric which isn't as good is Followed vs NoFollowed links metric, 95% of our links are NoFollowed, but we are still #1 in external followed links. Yet we are stuck on 4th page, and on some localizations we are not even in Top 50. This has happened slowly over time, not a overnight thing. Page we are trying to rank for gets grade A for optimizations, yet we have less significant pages ranking higher for that keyword. Further, newer pages tend to rank better than old ones. The whole site actually ranks quite low and we are not even getting search traffic for long tail keywords.

Why do small changes in keyword phrasing have such big SERP impacts?
I am trying to better understand why some of my pages rank well and some don't rank at all. I've discovered that slight changes to how the key phrase is typed into Google can have dramatic effects on the results. Why is this? And how should I interpret it or use it? I understand that some phrases will be more competitive than others, but that doesn't seem to explain the variances entirely. For example, http://traveltipsthailand.com/phuket/best-bachelor-hotels-in-phuket/ (which is SEO optimised for the long-tail phrase "bachelor hotels in Phuket" and "girl-friendly bachelor hotels in Phuket") ranks #1 or #2 for the key phrase "bachelor hotels phuket", but if I modify the phrase slightly to "bachelor hotels IN phuket" it drops to #12 (page 2) with less relevant competitors (like "Bachelor hotels in Chiang Mai") getting in ahead of it. Likewise, if I search on "best bachelor hotels phuket" (the URL phrase of the page) it is #1 or #2 again, but if I modify the search phrase to "best bachelor hotels IN phuket", my SERP drops to #13. If I use the longer-tail key phrase "girl-friendly bachelor hotels in phuket" the results are even more dramatic. I rank #5 for that phrase in the SERPs with or without "IN" in the search phrase. But if I remove "bachelor" from the key phrase and just search on "girl-friendly hotels in phuket" my page drops right off the SERP radar. Somewhere above #200 I think. Would love to get a better understanding of what influences these changes if anyone really knows. Changing your primary keyword to target seasonal demands
The industry that my 3-commerce store caters toward has seasonal demands. For example (this is not my industry but the idea applies), let's assume that I have a sporting goods store and that I sell footballs in the fall, but I sell more baseballs in the summer. Would you ever consider changing the primary keyword on the HomePage title and within the body to target different keywords (football vs baseball) during different seasons (fall vs summer)? Or would you just create individual product pages which target the keywords and link back internally to your homepage? Or is there a better way to target seasonal demands where conversions for the entire website vary greatly from season to season. Sorry for all the elementary questions.

Keyword Ranking Issue
For one of my campaigns I have running all the keywords are appearing as having a position > 50, when in fact I know these keywords are appearing on the top 5 pages of Google after a manual search. Can anyone have a solution for this? Thanks

Informational pages, not product pages, are ranking for product-related keywords
My site sells products (+1000s) and we have a few pages about how-to's, tips, etc. But when you search for keywords that are relevant to the products, the guides show up as search results. For example, if we search for "red widgets", the page for "how to make widgets" shows in the SERP and not the "red widgets" product page. This doesn't make sense when most of the search results go to our guides and not to the product pages. How can I change this? Do I permanent remove these guides? Or rename the title, description? My guess is that other sites have linked to these guides so they are making our site more of a "guide" site as opposed to the products we sell. Any advice/recommended would be appreciated.
