I'm just starting to learn about cblock root domains and linking. I'm wondering about the following:

Are there articles or websites to learn about dos and don'ts about getting a large number of links from one cblock?

How do I know when a site has too many links versus the number of unique cblocks?

I've been using Link Harvester on SEO Book and it seems like not many sites have more than 170 unique cblocks. Is this the total number of unique cblocks on the web or am I using the tool wrong?

There is no set number or formula. You want your links to be as diverse as possible, and C-class IP blocks is one metric that matters."Is this the total number of unique cblocks on the web or am I using the tool wrong?"
There are many more than that. Not familiar with the tool, but it may be a limitation of the tool. It looks like it uses Yahoo backlink data, which is limited to 1,000 links.

Hi all! we are doing some back link analysis on a clients competitors site. The competitor has roughly 300,000 links generated from an estimated 1,500 domain names. Is there an easy way to determine how many of the 300,000 links come from which of the 1,500 domain names? Essentially we want to see which of these domain names are generating the majority links? Link spam outranking me... how and why?!

What are inbound links worth after Panda and Penguin, since a site ranks for the NATIONAL keyword "outdoor furniture" with ONLY 7 INBOUND LINKS!?!?

When removing links should I be worried about bad links from websites that have already been deindexd from Google or should I think that since it is not in these index any more it cant do harm?

Finding links online that already exist as link juice based on search results
I'm curious about this, I can't find anything on the net that talks about it. I wrote an article about it on squidoo and have had no responses so I am thinking this is very rare subject. The question is I have done some backlink research with my competitors with linkdetective.com and found many links (even follow ones) related to sites that provide search results. Here are a link about what I am talking about as an example, I have found many more besides this one. http://search.lphant.com/es/webResults.html?q=free%20scrabble%20dictionary&hl=en&page=1&src=hmp_es&ref=1 My site appears in those results. When looking at the source there is no "nofollow". I found this page because linkdetective.com had this link listed pointing to my competitor. Are these valid backlinks? What I have been doing is adding these links to http://www.google.com/addurl so that Google knows about them. Is there something I am missing or are these valid?
