Where can I find data on growth in individual keyword search terms, over tiime?
-
I am operating in an emerging market, and want to understand the underlying growth in the relevant Google keyword search terms. I can use this as a proxy for market growth.
I have checked out Google Trends, but this confusingly shows peak search volumes (out of 100) not search volumes.
Are there any better tools out there?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

you can check google adwords.
but it will show the last month search volume. you can merge it by yourself with google.com/trends

Ah ha. Think that I may have found a solution. If I download the CSV, it includes the data by month.
It's a pity it's not a display option on the chart.

Thanks, but as I mentioned above - it's not giving me search volumes.

Hi J, Depending on how popular the keywords are that you want to research, you might try Google Trends (a part of Google labs). This is a great place to see if a particular term is in a downward or upward trend. The tool is located here : http://www.google.com/trends and has some nice sorting/limiting features too. Hope that helps a little!

International Keyword Research
Good morning! I have a quick question about international keyword research. So, I created a keyword list full of terms that we want to analyze in Latin America. My question is around search results. For example, if the keyword I am analyzing in English is "apples" and I choose the region as Mexico, should I submit the keyword to be analyzed as "apples" or the Spanish translation "manzanas"? I am confused as to whether the results account for the translation of someone searching "manzanas" in Mexico to the English term "apples" and how that whole process works. Let me know if I need to elaborate because I understand that the whole question is super confusing haha. Thanks for any help you can give! 🙂

Keyword: singular vs plural
Hi, I've been putting some efforts to rank well for "San Antonio Wedding Photographer". I am ranked ok for that but not so on "San Antonio Wedding Photographers". My website is http://www.soobumimphotography.com/ So now, I am trying to rank for "San Antonio Wedding Photographers" instead since Google auto fills wedding "photographers" in search term. Question - Should I change my site title and some post / page title etc? What's the best way to do this? Thank you Soobum

Sorting Wordtracker data
I am new to Wordtracker and would like to call upon experienced users to help me with sorting data. Lets say I have developed half a dozen niches from a single top-level category or seed keyword. What approach do you use to pull all of the data together and eliminate overlapping keywords from the separate niches? Do you combine all of the exported csv's into one spreadsheet first? Thanks for your input!

Keyword research
i am trying to figure out what would be good keywords to optimize for an orthodontist. i looked up the keywords "his city + orthodontist" or " his city + braces" and the google adword tool tells me there are no monthly searches for those terms. i am not sure what i can optimize for if no one is searching for the most obvious keywords.

Accurate monthly search data
I have a search term that is only used widely for one month of the year (roughly) - that keyword is "ucas clearing" only really used in august. Looking at google's keyword tool it shows a monthly search figure of 22k and apparently this is the average across the year. Now, do google add up 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,264k,0,0,0,0 - divide by 12 and come up with 22k - or do they see that it isn't steady traffic and just ignore the 0 months and therefore 22k is actually about right? Many THanks for confirmation, Ally

Keyword and Keyphrases
I'm looking to optimise my website for some keywords and keyphrases I'm getting a bit confused on how different pages might compete (or help) each other. As we are an automotive dealer I was thinking about building the hompage around 4 keywords (one for each franchise we represent e.g 'Ford'). These show high local monthly searches and medium competition for just the manufacturer name on its own. Then if someone drills down into a franchise homepage (linked from our homepage e.g. www.ourwebsite.com/ford) I was thinking to optimise the page around e.g. 'Ford Dealer' (which has medium local monthly searches and high competition). Then if someone drills down into a particular model I optimise around that and so on. Question is will I be playing the franchise homepage vs the group homepage (Ford vs Ford Dealer) as I have read here on Keyword Cannibalization? Or will it work together? Alternative I guess is not to focus around a franchise on the group homepage and then only focus on the franchise from the franchise homepage onwards but I feel I would be missing a trick? As a new kid on the block help will be most appreciated.
