Alt Text for Interior Design / Architecture Firm
I'm looking to update the alt text on my company's website to increase traffic and qualified leads. I've done some research on my own, but the alt-text examples i find are really simple and pertain more to ecommerce (i.e. leather boat shoe). We're an archteicture and interior design firm so we sell our design services. One of our goals is to get more projects in florida. I understand the best way to do alt-text is to describe the photo in as much detail as possible. But would it also help to plug in our services? Here are some examples i've thought of (i've attached the photo i'm describing) 1. Bright and airy coastal modern Palm Beach living room with abstract statement lighting

Image Size in Alt Text
Hi, On our ecommerce site, when we load an image for an item, it automatically loads different sizes for that image. (i.e. High Res, Large, Small, Thumbnail, etc). We have an option to add the size to the alt text of the image (in addition to the description of the picture... so for example "Blue casual shirt High Res"... is this necessary? One of our clients requested this and I am not sure I see the point of having the image size in the alt text unless it helps the visually impaired in some way?

Can Google index the text content in a PDF?
I really really thought the answer was always no. There's plenty of other things you can do to improve search visibility for a PDF, but I thought the nature of the file type made the content itself not-parsable by search engine crawlers... But now, my client's competitor is ranking for my client's brand name with a PDF that contains comparison content. Thing is, my client's brand isn't in the title, the alt-text, the url... it's only in the actual text of the PDF. Did I miss a major update? Did I always have this wrong?

Why is either Rogerbot or (if it is the case) Googlebots not recognizing keyword usage in my body text?
I have a client that does liposuction as one of their main services, they have been ranked in the top 1-5 for their keywords "sarasota liposuction" with different variations of the words for a long time, and suddenly have dropped about 10-12 places down to #15 in the engine. I went to investigate this and actually came to the "on-page analysis" tool for SEOmoz pro, where oddly enough it says that there is no mention of the target keyword in the body content (on-page analysis tool screenshot attached). I didn't quite understand why it would not recognize the obvious keywords in the body text so I went back to the page and inspected further. The keywords have an odd featured link that links up to an internally hosted keyword glossary for definitions of terms that people might not know directly. These definitions pop up in a lightbox upon clicking the keyword (liposuction lightbox screenshots attached). I have no idea why google would not recognize these words as they have the text in between the link, yet if there is something wrong with the code syntax etc. it might possibly hender the engine from seeing the body text of the link? any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! Phn2m Phn2m.png bWr5K.png V36CL.png

We have just completed the redesign of our product page, which you can see here: http://www.uksoccershop.com/p-19045/2011-12-Chelsea-Adidas-Away-Football-Shirt.html Because we want the select size / add to basket section to appear prominently, you can see we are showing only a snippet of the product description in this section and then user has to click "more" to see it. Frequent updating of pages on website to rank better
Will updating each page often for example everyday or few days, rank the page and/or website better in google. The reason I ask is that I made 18 websites about three months ago and the traffic initially was alot higher and has fallen little by little thru the 3 months. Also how well my pages rank has also fallen. I just put out the websites, have done nothing else. No linking, etc. No updates. It is evident that without new links coming in, the website will fall in rank ie., link aquistion velocity But my question is if I update the pages and change content frequently will this improve my position in google and other search engines. The traffic on websites over the three months if graphed sort of looks like a stair case going down.
