How long does google take to pick up your new page headings and on page optimisation and when will results show fpr keywords due to this
-
can someone help thanks x
-
Yeah, agreed - it can really vary, and it depends on how often Google re-crawls your site, how deep the page is, etc. Keep in mind that "web design" keywords are very competitive generally, so just adding them to new pages isn't going to automatically get you ranking.

For my websites ranking on pages 1-3 of Google, I usually see changes in 2-3 days. However, the actual rank often jumps around a bit.

Matthew's correct, it may or may not help you in G ranking and it seems like if you do major changes like sitewide for instance you may even get a kick down for sometime until G knows you are finished making the changes.
Usually changes can be seen in Serp within a week for most sites, but it can be longer for some.
We've also found that if you rank well on yahoo for some reason it's not the same on G, and vice versa. Could just be us, but it makes sense that S.E's wouldn't want to show the same results as each other.
All the best!

Hello Laura,
Page headings and onpage optimization isn't going to be the key on specifically ranking up keywords. Your keywords may not move at all due to this.
I highly suggest you read many more threads here on some tactics on how to rank up keywords. There are many different ways to rank keywords, and many theories on how to rank them. I highly suggest that you read Rands posts and I personally like this thread here http://www.seomoz.org/blog/top-1-seo-tips-for-2013 by Dr. Pete. He's also very smart and knows what hes talking about.
As for the time it takes for Google to analyze your site is not known really. It can be right away, or it can be in two weeks. It all depends on how popular your website is and what reason Google has to keep going to your website. Is your website new? Is it already indexed by Google? If not you could submit your site to search engines, or ping it using a ping services. It's also a good idea to submit your site to social sites so it gets indexed quicker.
Have a great night and a happy holidays.

Will adjusted bounce rate affect avg time on page?
I recently read Rob Beirne's piece on how and why to set up an adjusted bounce rate in Google Analytics (https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/adjusted-bounce-rate). I am getting myself ready to talk to our site team about why we should set up an adjusted bounce rate and am anticipating some questions I'd like to be able to answer: 1. Will an adjusted bounce rate improve the accuracy of our avg time on page metrics? 2. Are we able to keep the unadjusted bounce rate in GA as well, so we can compare the two metrics if we ever need to? Does anyone know the answers to these questions? Any help would be much appreciated!

Was Google Analytics and Adsense Down Today?
For the last 4 hours of so we were registering zero users and Adsense reporting has not changed. We checked the site, and there were no problems. It seems for some reason there was no reporting. Just now it came back up and we are showing live traffic. Trying to figure out if this was a problem specific to us or if it is on Google's end. Thanks,

Installing Google Analytics tracking code on Landing Pages
Hello, I have my landing pages located on a separated subdomain (LP.example.com). I've created a new property in Google Analytics for that subdomain. My question is: where do I have to place the GA tracking code ? in the header ? before I close the tag or before I close the tag ? I have another issue: I've placed the GA Tracking code on some pages in the way below:

Traffic Discrepancy between google and moz
I checked my traffic data this morning for this past week and there seems to be what I hope is a huge mistake. https://www.diigo.com/item/image/3vpdp/mckp My traffic seems to have dropped from 176 organic visits to 0 visits. There is no indication of this at all in Google analytics. What's going on?

Large content snippets showing up as keywords?
I've started to notice something very strange: the search keywords report in analytics show a bunch of instances where a person copied large snippets of our site content and then pasted it into the search box. Half these searches are coming from the US and half from...India. I'm worried that this may be the sign of a competitor attempting to perform negative SEO on our site (though admittedly I don't know how). Anyone seen anything like this? Advice? Thanks!!

How long to wait before judging changes?
After making SEO focused changes (adding/removing internal links, changing nofollow attributes, changing titles, etc) how long should I wait to "judge" the effects of those changes on my ranking?

Google Analytics and backlinking
Let say I have my main site and my secondary site that is optimized for a slightly different set of keywords (nonetheless still relevant to my main site). I have several links from a secondary site to my main site. Secondary site is on a different C-block. Do you ladies and gentlemen think that if I put both websites under the same google analytics account, Google is going to penalize me or remove some of the juice that is flowing from secondary site to the main site because it would detect through GA that both sites belong to the same entity?
