How to Find Another Site's robots.txt File?
-
An SEO report, not by SEOmoz, says my top two competitors have robots.txt files that disallows spidering. I suspect that their robots.txt file doesn't disallow all spidering.
How do I find out what is in their robots.txt files?
-
Should I disallow 80legs and sitebot robots?
Why might these two robots be disallowed?
-
User-agent: 008 Disallow: /
(Tells 80legs Robot to stay out of the website)
User-agent:* Disallow: ``` (Tells all other robots to visit all files of the website) 2) audible.com ``` User-agent: sitebot disallow: / ``` (Tells Sitebot Robot to stay out of the website) ``` User-agent: * Disallow: /mycart Disallow: /ajaxcart Disallow: /create-account Disallow: /acc-merge Disallow: /acc-merge6for6 etc.. ``` (Tells all other robots not to enter specific directories listed) Learn more here [http://www.robotstxt.org/robotstxt.html](http://www.robotstxt.org/robotstxt.html)

Can anyone suggest a AHREF's alternative?
Hello Everyone,
Competitive Research | | Juratovic
Now that AHref's has killed their keyword analysis I am on the search for a substitute.I just can't see paying $80 per month for their link analysis only even-though I do find their link index to be much much much more updated then any other company even SeoMoz (sorry Rand and company). Does anyone have any suggestions? SemRush is the only one I have seen to come close. Thank you! Pete0 -

Open Site Explorer Twitter and Facebook Links
I was using Open Site Explorer to compare some of my site's links to a competitor and I noticed that my Twitter page is not counting as an incoming link, whereas theirs are. From what I can tell, we have the same kind of setup on my twitter page, listing the domain in the company information... but no luck. Any suggestions on what I may be able to change? For reference: twitter.com/mediamegamall ... I know I need to work on the twitter presence... one thing at a time 🙂

Looking for a recommendation for a site ranking comparison tool.
Hi, It seems that SEOMOZ provides only link ranking comparison with competators. I'm not conviced that this is valuable for my purposes as the comeption often has few links tool, probably the nature of the business.. First, is it worth trying to compare keyword ranking with competators? I think it is, but I'm not that experienced with SEO, especially with Wordpress/Buddpress sites. Second, any recommenations for a tool that will make this easier? Larry

How a site only with Frame can be at #1 google in a competitive keyword?
Guys, I need help. I have a company in Brasil and due to lack of budget, I'm doing the SEO for my self. And for two years Im reading everything that I can to do my best in my website. I worked very hard, but the #1 in the most important keyword for my company is a very bad website only with frames. What they are doing? Could anyone give help? Keyword: "acampamento"

What are the competition's Google Places pages optimised for?
I'm doing some work on a client's Googe Places page, and wondered if there's any way to see what a completitors Places page is currently optimised or categorised for? Basically, we're trying to rank for 'Bathrooms Edinburgh' and almost all of the page 1 SERP's are (unsurprisingly) full of Places results, with #1 Organic slot right down at the bottom of the page. In short - we NEED to get our Places page kicked into shape, and pronto! So, is there any way to find out how the competition's Places pages are ranking so well? e.g. What have they categorised themselves under? Cheers in advance folks, JM
