Analyzing backlinks - domain, page, anchor text, contact info, description
-
Hello,
If I have an OSE file of the site's backlinks, is there any way to easily put together a spreadsheet with
domain
page link is on
anchor text
contact info
description/feed
Buzzstream does domain, page, and anchor text but you have to add the contact info one by one and there's no description/feed. Is there any way with any set of tools to do it all? Talking about 1375 domains for a total of 4500 pages.
Thanks!

"contact info" ? You mean the contact info for the domain owner?
If such a tool exists, nobody's done much promotion of it. Getting the contact info is a monumental task given how it could come in many different forms. Maybe it's embedded on a "contact" page, or an "about" page, or a sub-page of the "about" section or in a footer, or header. Maybe the on-site contact info is for customer service, or sales, and not the "contact" you would want.
And what about sites with multiple contacts listed, in one or more ways on the site? Which to grab? And is it in a format that can be grabbed and properly loaded into a data table or spreadsheet column or series of columns? And what contact info? Name? Email? Phone number? Address?
Maybe it's in graphic format on the site. Maybe it's in the domain lookup system and maybe that's set to private. It's just too complex a process.

Filter Pages
Howdy Moz Forum!! I have a headache of a job over here in the UK and I'd welcome any advice! - It's sunny today, only 1 of 5 days in a year and i'm stuck on this! I have a client that currently has 22,000 pages indexed to Google with almost 4000 showing as duplicate content. The site has a "jobs" and "candidates" list. This can cause all sorts of variations such as job title, language, location etc. The filter pages all seem to be indexed. Plus the static pages are indexed. For example if there were 100 jobs at Moz being advertised, it is displaying the jobs on the following URL structure - /moz
Moz Pro | | Slumberjac
/moz/moz-jobs
/moz/moz-jobs/page/2
/moz/moz-jobs/page/3
/moz/moz-jobs/page/4
/moz/moz-jobs/page/5 ETC ETC Imagine this with some going up to page/250 I have checked GA data and can see that although there are tons of pages indexed this way, non of them past the "/moz/moz-jobs" URL get any sort of organic traffic. So, my first question! - Should I use rel-canonical tags on all the /page/2 & /page/3 etc results and point them all at the /moz/moz-jobs parent page?? The reason for this is these pages have the same title and content and fall very close to "duplicate" content even though it does pull in different jobs... I hope i'm making sense? There is also a lot of pages indexed in a way such as- https://www.examplesite.co.uk/moz-jobs/search/page/9/?candidate_search_type=seo-consulant&candidate_search_language=blank-language These are filter pages... and as far as I'm concerned shouldn't really be indexed? Second question! - Should I "no follow" everything after /page in this instance? To keep things tidy? I don't want all the variations indexed! Any help or general thoughts would be much appreciated! On-page grader question
Hi there, Getting to know the Pro tools and can't find an answer to this. Can someone explain for me please? Using on page grader, I found a couple pages with an F. I scrolled downWTO where it shows the keyword phrases and under each, the URL. Clicking on the first keyword "Building site alarms"it tells me off essentially for not optimising the page for that term. The URL is "construction site security systems" which are different to building site alarms which also have their own page. I don't understand why is Moz associating this keyword with this page? I certainly haven't told it to. Please he

Comparing Domain Authority Scores
Since your scale (like PageRank) is a logarithmic scale, it makes it hard to judge the distance between 2 scores. Can you give me a rule of thumb. For PageRank, each jump is an exponential jump - so that a PR6 is perhaps 10 times stronger than a PR5. What is the log base that SEOMoz uses. Should I assume that a 60 is 10 times stronger than a 50? This is important when it comes to measuring progress because growth is going to get more difficult as you move up the scale and I need to communicate the distance between our current Authority score and our goal. Thank You!

Pages Crawled: 1 Why?
I have some campaigns which have only 1 page crawled, while some other campaigns, having completely similar URL (subdomain) and number of keywords and pages, have all pages crawled... Why is that so? It has been also a while I waited and so far no change...

How can authority of the page be higher then authority of the domain?
In the opensite explorer most of the links that I see have a higher domain authority and lower page authority which makes sense to me because I thought that domain authority is an aggregate of its pages authority. But apperently I was wrong because sometimes I see that the page authority is greater then its domain? How could that be?

Why do pages with canonical urls show in my report as a "Duplicate Page Title"?
eg: Page One
Moz Pro | | DPSSeomonkey
<title>Page one</title>
No canonical url Page Two
<title>Page one</title> Page two is counted as being a page with a duplicate page title.
Shouldn't it be excluded?0 -

Status 404-pages
Hi all, One of my websites has been crawled by SEOmoz this week. The crawl showed me 3 errors: 1 missing title and 2 client errors (4XX). One of these client errors is the 404-page itself! What's your suggestion about this error? Should a 404-page have the 404 http status? I'd like to hear your opinion about this one! Thanks all!
