Domain Authority is the outcome of several factors. It is measured on varied metrics. If you want to start with it, do the following:
- Create a fast loading website first
- Pay attention to the quality of your contents,
- Set up a blog on your domain if you can, and post regular blog
- Maintain keyword density, keep it below 3 on average
- While building links on other websites, take note of website quality, pagerank, and domain authority
- Participate actively in social media networks and create links to your website
- Do regular updates on the website, at least once or twice in week
These all put together will definitely increase your domain and page authority.

SeoMoz: Competitive domain analysis report doesn't add up?
Hi, When I check OSE against the Competitive Domain Analysis report in my account the numbers are way off. If the CDA report was 100%, OSE is showing 30% of that. I'm looking at linking root domains with no filters applied. Is the data not pulled from the same db? Thanks.

How can competition outrank you if your site has better Domain/Page Authority, More links, and More Social sharing?
Say you have a site that has better Domain/page authority, more links, more social media sharing, and a lot more indexed pages (thanks to blogging) than the competition. Of course all of these metrics are based off of data from SEOMoz open site explorer tool which I am not sure if it produces accurate data. 1. Other than exact match domains or the age of a domain what would be other reasons why competition would outrank you? 2. Can anyone suggest other ways to help increase a sites domain/page authority besides creating more indexed pages, link building, etc..?

How do we change our domain settings for a changed domain?
We have changed the primary domain for an existing campaign we are tracking with SEOMOZ. How do we update the NEW domain name for our campaign so that we can maintain the existing set of data? We just want to change the URL that SEOMOZ is crawling. We have already updated the Google Analytics settings, so they should be consistent with SEOMOZ once we get the URL updated with you.

Twitter Page Authority Score?
I've been doing some competitive research in Open Site Explorer and many of our competitors have Twitter accounts very similar to ours. Their Twitter pages are usually one of the pages with linking to their website with the most Page Authority. The incoming links from Twitter are a "no follow" as you would guess. This has been the case for a large number of well ranking sites I have looked at. www.dremed.com also has a Twitter account at: https://twitter.com/#!/DREmed . However, Open Site Explorer does not list the Twitter link as an incoming link at all ( or if it does it has no Page Authority ). The Twitter account page seems very similar in nature to other competing Twitter pages. I'm not sure why it does not ALSO pull a high Page Authority score??? Do you know why this might be? How to Stop SEOMOZ from Crawling a Sub-domain without redoing the whole campaign?
I am using SEOMOZ for a client to track their website's performance and fix any errors and issues. A few weeks ago, they created a sub-domain (sub.example.com) to create a niche website for some of their specialized content. However, when SEOMOZ re-crawled the main domain (example.com), it also reported the errors for the subdomain. Is there any way to stop SEOMOZ from crawling the subdomain and only crawl the main domain? I know that can be done by starting a new campaign, but is there any way to work around an existing campaign? I'm asking because we would like to avoid the setting up the campaign again and losing the historical data as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

TLD vs Sub Domain in Regards to Domain Authority
I have always been under the impression that top level (or root) domains can hold different domain authority than that of a sub domain. Meaning that sub domain's and TLD can hold different ranks and strength in search engine result pages. Is this a correct or just an assumption? If so when i add a root domain and subdomain into the campaign manager i get back the same link information and domain authority? www.datalogic.com
