RegEx as rule condition in brand rules possible?
-
Hi everybody,
can i use a RegEx expression as a rule condition to tag branded/non-branded keywords?
For example..
I want to tag all keywords beginning with "This" to be tagged as branded.
ThisHouse
ThisPhone
ThisPCSeems like the brand rule is a exact match but that doesn't work for this kind of keywords, right?
Thank you

Thanks for the question!
There currently isn't a way to set this up as a rule in manage keywords. We don't allow a RegEx expression in our brand rules UX due to constraints on how we pull branded keyword traffic from Google Analytics. If you would love this feature in the future, I'd recommend posting this to our feature request forum.
In the meantime, you can go back and manually create/tag keywords at any time but the only way to really automate this as a brand rule right now would be to create keywords with a space between the the terms. This is mainly because our Brand Rules can't parse different phrases or terms in a keyword. In your example, the word "this" would be set up as a brand in your campaign.
ThisHouse, ThisPhone and ThisPC would not be tagged since these are seen as a single word. If you add a space (This House, This Phone and This PC) the terms will be automatically tagged as branded. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Sam

Found hidden pages of outbound links created via ex-SEO consultant. Best way to detect other possible problems?
We paid for an SEO contract in addition to our new website design (same company did both) and after 12 months cancelled the SEO. I have been very suspicious ever since of our bad page rank and general lack of traffic (despite my efforts) and today found a hidden page of outbound links. Currently in shock that this happened although my own fault for lack of due diligence. The SEO consultants were very unhappy that I cancelled the contract so I am worried about the extent of bad links or negative google juice they may have created (god knows what else they may have done). So my questions are: How can I detect any other (potentially hidden) problems? How can I recover from this - any right/wrong way to approach google? What is the best way to bring this up with the SEO consultants? Thank you in advance.

For example, why wouldn't I want to brand all my keywords with my company name?

Is it Possible to Subscribe to an SEOmoz Q&A Category via RSS?
I'm interested in tracking new questions in a specific category in SEOmoz's Q&A (the Reputation Management category), and I was thinking RSS would be the easiest way to do this. Is it possible? Or is there another way to get new questions asked in a category into your email or RSS reader?

Is it possible to do the comparision between a subfolder against a subdomain at SEOmoz campaign tool?
Is it possible to do the comparision between a subfolder against a subdomain at SEOmoz campaign tool? For instance: - I have a client who uses a subdomain model to render your homepage and he has a competitor hosted in a subfolder. It appears to be impossible to do that kind of comparision at the SEOmoz campaign tool. Do you have some other way to do that?
