Does google consider it to be spam by having multiple languages posts on a blog such as English, Arabic, spanish blog posts.

Hi Akram,

Not if you tag them in the right way by using for example the hreflang tags to do this. A lot of Web sites are doing this, they create blog posts and translate them into multiple languages by using sub folders per country.

If you would only create these blog posts and don't make them unique to their language, by not making clear which language the blog post is written in it makes it hard for Google to distinguish if your trying to spam (or not).

I've noticed that in the Media Library, when you upload an image to a blog post it generates a new permalink ...article-name/article-image-01.jpg I have Yoast SEO plugin and have the option to set a canonical URL for this image. How to write blogs around a page you want to rank

Hey Moz Crew! So I'm not necessarily looking for the answer here but more of a where do I begin to learn more. If you guys could point me in the right direction or even just help me ask the question in a better way, I would be so thankful. Ok so there is page on my website that lives on the second page of Google. The page could be modified and I could add content to it if I wanted to, but let's just assume that this page is perfectly optimized with absolutely wonderful content and a great user experience. Now of course I would like to get a bunch of links to that page, but If I can't write anymore content on that page or update it, It will be harder to convince people to link to it (does that even make sense?). But if I can write blogs about really good subjects around that page, and those blogs do very well, how can I make sure that the actually page is getting all the juice that it can. And will it even get juice? Is this just a simple internal linking question? Am I tapping on the door of micro sites or landing pages? Oy vey where do I start!? ❤ Much love guys 🙂

How Long To Recover Rankings After Multi-Day Site Outage?

Hi, A site we look after for a client was down for almost 3 days at the start of this month (11th - 14th of May, to be exact). This was caused by my client's failure to verify their domain name in accordance with the new ICANN procedures. The details are unimportant, but it took a long while for them to get their domain name registration contact details validated, hence the outage. Very soon after this down time we noticed that the site has slipped back in the Google rankings for most of the target keywords, sometimes quite considerably. I guess this is Google penalizing this client for their failure to keep their site live. (And they really can't have too many complaints about this, in my opinion). The good news is that the rankings show signs of improving again slightly. However, they have not recovered all the way to where they were before the outage, two weeks ago. My question is this ... do you expect that the site will naturally re-gain the previous excellent rankings without us doing anything? If so, how long do you estimate this could take? On the other hand, if Google typically penalizes this kind of error by 'permanently', is there is anything we can do to help signal to Google that the site deserves to get back up to where is used to be? I am keen to get your thoughts, and especially to hear from anyone who has faced a similar problem in the past. Thanks

Doubt between sub-directory and sub-domain for develop Blog for my business website

I am confused between whether my blog should be with sub-directory(www.metaoption.com/ blog) or with sub-domain(blog. metaoption.com). Two blogs on the same domain

I have had two blogs on the same domain for a while now, and it just occurred to me that no one else seems to do this and maybe it's even weird. http://www.stadriemblems.com/blog/

Could Having Blog Posts as Home Page Cause Keyword Dilution?

Something I've never been a fan of is having a blog as the home page of a site. I've always thought that it's a bit like walking into someone's house through the kitchen out back.
If it's a vistors first time, it can be a little disconcerting or ackward even if they are not familiar with the writers style. But something just dawned on me, and I'd love a second opinion on this. For websites that focus on multiple keywords (in my most of my client's case it's usually a mix of Wedding Photography, Engagement Photography, Portrait Photography, Family Photography, etc). A lot of these clients will include the photos in a blog post along with a snippet of text that may talk about the people they're photographing and maybe a bit about where they photographed. But they're usually optimizing for the overarching keyword (Wedding... Portrait..., etc as per above). Now I'm wondering if having three or 5 posts on the home page, where most of them are focusing on a specific keyword like New York Wedding Photographer, is actually diluting the keyword they are trying to rank for. My theory is that if I have them move their blog to a domain.com/blog, and solely focus on the desired keyword on the home page, that they would do substantially better in the SERPs. Can anyone subtantiate this? Thanks!

How to move my blog from subdomain to subfolder?

Not an unusual situation, I have a blog on blog.domain.com it has quite a few blog postings. The platform is old and will be scrapped, but the blog content itself is going to be moved to domain.com/blog. The current process is we are manually listing all linked to/content pages and we are going to 301 redirect them to their counterparts on the new blog. This is going to be a tedious process. A) Is there any way to automate the moving of the blog? B) What is the best way to do the massive 301 redirect, php headers, .htaccess? Should we move the individual pages with redirects, or redirect the domain in the .htaccess (this will be very difficult to match all the titles and file structure)?
