Adwords keyword vs exact match kw
-
Hi guys,
I have been using an excellent script that showed me the keywords I was bidding on and the keywords they were matched on by Adwords.
I was using the following script: http://www.getelastic.com/exact-keywords-google-analytics/
But I'm under the impression Google changed the way these data can be matched.
I now have multiple questions:
- Does anyone have another script that gives me the same results?
- Has anyone seen an announcement on why Google has changed this?
- Might this js solution still be working? http://www.roirevolution.com/blog/2008/02/exact_keyword_tracking_with_gajs.php
Cheers and thanks for all the suggestions!

Hi,
I fully agree that the data are already being populated by GA in the "matched search query" but what I'm looking for is to see both. But you gave me the solution by just answering this.
Use matched search query and add a secondary dimension the keyword tab.
This gives me the information I',m looking for.

Hi Arnout,
Hope I am not missing something obvious, but this data is already in GA if you have properly connected the adwords and analytics accounts.
You can see it in traffic sources -> sources -> search -> paid and then click the "matched search query" in the central column where it says primary dimension. This gives you the exact keywords or phrases that were matched and brought the visitor to your site.
Is that what you are after? If so, no need for extra scripts!

Approximate costs of keywords in Google AdWords
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions about how to go about getting some approximate costs for keywords through Google Adwords to assist my SEO efforts. I don't want to open an AdWords account, just looking for costs. If the pricing is too high then the opened account was a waste of time. So if anyone has any resources to find out this information, that would be great! Thanks in advance!

Have you used an ad network other than Google Adwords?
We received a cold call from a company called Division-D. They make a lot of promises which sound good (but that's what marketers do 🙂 ). Advertising on a non-Google network probably would have fewer restrictions than an Adwords campaign and they say that they are fully transparent. Would it be worth it to listen to their whole pitch?

Negative Keywords
This will end up being a two part question: We have been running a search marketing campaign for about 45 days. It seems no matter how many negative keywords we add (over 300 right now), we still are receiving borderline relevant traffic to the broad match ad group. We are in the printing industry and I think this in itself presents a challenge since there are thousands of competitors in our market, national & local. People also search for a variety of items, most of which end up having nothing to do with our business (i.e. animal prints, zebra prints etc.) We are running several different ad groups: one exact match, one broad and one phrase match. Does anyone have a resource or links they are willing to share that has general negative terms they use before creating any new campaign? I have ones I have found, but wondering if there is a very good master resource out there. How many key phrases do you typically add to an 'Exact Match' ad group? Thank you!

Bought domains to some of my best keywords. What should I do?
So I work in a very niche industry and compete very well with Google PPC. I was recently able to acquire domains of keywords that drive almost 40% of all our paid traffic and quite a bit of organic traffic as well. The problem is that these keyword domains carry no authority (obviously because i just bought them). Would i be best served to just do redirects with these names to my current site(s)? Or i was also thinking about setting up independent blog sites that would link back to my main site. I' was also thinking of changing the domains of my paid google ads to align with the recently acquired links.... Thanks in advance for your help!

Keyword Traffic - Does this count paid traffic?
I'm looking at keyword rankings, and specifically at the number under "Keyword Traffic" for one of my keywords, which is described as "how many visits this keyword has generated for your website". We run adword campaigns for some of these keywords. I'm wondering if this number is tracking visits from adwords or is this only organic?

Linking Adwords to Analytics for Multiple Clients
what is the best practice for this? Right now everything is under many different passwords and logins, yet conforming them all to one comes with a bunch of loopholes and bumps along the way. Does anyone know how to get a few clients under the same username and password (linking the AdWords and Analytics for each of them)?

Adwords and Analytics figures not matching up
We are currently running a A/B test on a landing page using only adwords to split the traffic. Looking at the figures in adwords has given us a higher number of conversions than the analytics is giving us in transactions. The conversion rate is also different. The only visitors this page is getting is from Adwords. Can someone please help us understand why this is? Cheers Al

Your Google AdWords account has been permanently suspended for repeated violation of AdWords or Landing Page and Site policies in this or a related account.
My client nor I received any warning. We even had a google adwords team optimize the account and my rep does not yet know the reason for the ban. Not sure if its related but their google organic rankings dropped significantly at the same time. https://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164786 Any advice here? Do these Questions get indexed by google? I will ask my client if I can disclose the domain. Is there any way around a permanent ban? They were spending 50K per month. Is this enough to have any clout?
