Universal rankings has made my page not show in rankings any more
-
We've had a page with a video on it for ages; it always ranks well, generally around no. 5.
But I've noticed that it's now ignored in SEMOZ as a page, and only shows as a Universal Result - so it looks as though our top page is no. 22, even thought the video shows as an icon still in the same position, no. 5.
That's annoying as I now have to explain to my stakeholders how come our rankings appear to have dropped off a cliff - when i fact they haven't.
The page appears in google SERPS exactly as it always has.
Can anything be done to make it appear back as it did in SEMOZ?
Thanks

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to us! I am sorry to hear that you had to explain the way our data appears. You are correct in that our universal rankings does not show your result's "rankings" visually on Google. The reason we classify them this way is because this is inline with Google's policy regarding video results, more specifically if they appear in a 3 pack then we will not consider them as "organic." Although it is completely understandable that visually it is every bit as "organic" as it can appear. We have taken steps to list those universal rankings by giving them a "between x and y natural results" as a way of showing their results visually.
With that said we really appreciate feedback and feature requests; they help us decide what parts of our software development to prioritize. Here's the feature request forum we use to collect ideas:
http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests
You can vote for features you'd like to see and suggest your own, both of which help our product team in deciding what to build next. Add your request there and hopefully we'll see it come to fruition sometime down the line. Thanks again, and best of luck!
Peter

Rankings reporting showing inaccurate improve/decline/unchanged numbers
Our rankings report is showing inaccurate numbers for the improved, declined, and unchanged summary, both in the email and on the site. According to the added up numbers, we have 315 keywords in the campaign, but that's not possible as we only have 172 set up for it. The total for this section is correct, it just doesn't add up.

On page analysis showing old results
Hi, My on page crawl analysis is showing that I have 38 duplicate content issues. These issues are because we had used tags in our blog. We remove all the tags 10+ day ago but the crawl that was done 5 days ago is still showing the tags as causing a duplicate content issue. Why would this be? We cannot correct is as it is already corrected. How do we get moz to crawl the correctly? Thanks Andrew

Why is my site not ranking?
I have done various link building strategies, and used all white hat seo methods. SEOMoz even shows that my site is better than all my competition, but yet it doesn't rank ANYWHERE on Google. Can someone point me in the right direction as to why this is happening? I have attached the opensitexplorer screenshot showing my competition. 2013-02-13_1456_zpsb86ab0e1.png

SEO Moz Bug? Universal Placements
Had a quick look around and can't find anything relating to this. We are doing really well with our universal placements, google places etc. SEOMoz used to recognise them, but now I have no universal placements according to SEOMoz, though they are clearly all still doing well. But in the program, or problem with the data? Thanks Marc

How to Optimize a Home Page?
Can anyone advise on what is the best way to optimise the home page? Many websites I see include the target(focus) keywords from other pages on the home page. Is this self competition? "Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization- It's a best practice in SEO to target each keyword with a single page on your site" If an e-commerce website has 4 levels in the SEO architecture. Home Page, Brand Pages(Category), Range pages(sub-category) and individual product pages. It would seem that the main keywords would be within the category(brands) level of a website. However many websites I see include these on the home page as well. Could someone please clarify this? I do not recall seeing the report card saying Self-Cannibalization when these keywords(category level) are listed on the home page. However I could be wrong, Please could someone advise on what SEO MOZs recommendations are for best practise on optimizing a home page so that it does not compete with category pages, or other pages on the website. Thanks

Sorting Dupe Content Pages
Hi, I'm no excel pro, and I'm having a bit of a challenge interpreting the Crawl Diagnostics export .csv file. I'd like to see at a glance which of my pages (and I have many) are the worst offenders for dupe content – ie. which have the most "Other URLs" associated with them. Thanks, would appreciate any advice on how other people are using this data, and/or how 'Moz recommends to do it. 🙂

SEOMoz Campaign shows Warnings for pages with >200 and <300 links
We currently use SEOMoz's campaign tool to review the SEO progress of our site. One thing we are unsure of is that SEOMoz gives us a warning for over 1000 of our pages because we have around 200 links on those pages (all in the Menu Drop Downs). I read the post and watched the video, Whiteboard Friday Flat Site Architecture a while ago and Rand mentioned there is no issue with having a web page with 200 to 300 links and he even encouraged it. So why would these show up as warnings in our Campaign?
