Tons and tons of nofollow links
-
Ahrefs is showing that I have 1,278 no follow links.
Many of these are from a site that I'm totally unfamiliar with (growmap.com) and don't see any reference to my site on. Perhaps I left a comment on it at some point?
But more than 800 of my nofollow links are from this site.
Is this going to hurt me?
Thanks. My url is http://www.farnorthkennel.com if curiosity comes about.

Hi Joshua,
Stay calm! Nothing to worry about here. Google ignores (that may not be true 100% of the time, but let's say that it is...) nofollow links - that's the point of them!
You wont gain from them - but neither will you be punished.
On OpenSiteExplorer I can't see any real data there, so I can't look any deeper than that.
Hope that helps!

Nofollow backlinks - are they worth it?
As we all attempt to get backlinks for the sites we manage, I have to wonder if it's worth it at all to get a nofollow backlink. Does Google give and positive credit for a link to a site if it is a nofollow link? Obviously, the follow links are worth pursuing. I'm just trying to gain some perspective. Thanks, Wick

Does link have any value?
I recently received a link, but upon inspecting the page source on the site I did not see the link in the coding. Is this a link with any SEO value? Is google able to see this link? Note: Upon inspecting the actual link on the page, I do see coding with a followed link, but on the page source, only the actual table in which it is listed shows in the coding, with none of the content - including our link, showing.

Are links from charities really better than 'normal' links.
Hi Guys. Just wondering about this idea that links from Charities are particularly good. I've heard people say that links from .org sites are particularly strong. But anyone can get a .org domain, it's just that charities tend to use them more often. Right? I just don't get the logic. Can anyone give more detail about this? Is it a myth? Is there quality info on this topic I can check out? We're working with several charities at the moment, and they all seem happy to blog and link to us...so I just wanted to know a little more. Isaac.

A website with a spam score of 5 is back linking to me. How important is to get that link removed?

Follow or Nofollow?
Hi all, I have a question, which I can not figure out the answer to. I have a web site which collects sporting news articles so that users need only to go to one site to check news about a subject instead of going to all sorts of sites. On the site I simply link out (to over 300 sources). My question is: The links (I have thousands and thousands per day) should they be follow or nofollow? Do I gain anything by having them set to follow. Or do I lose anything by setting them to nofollow? The site is http://www.holdnyt.dk - if you want to see how many links are per page and so on. -Rasmus
