Path to getting reviews on Google and Yelp
-
Yelp and Google, what would be the right path customers have to follow in order for their reviews to be posted and more importantly, to stay there?
-
Hey echo1,
I am guessing you dont want the general answer "just ask your costumers politely to review your business online",
For Google and Yelp I guess making your precense online will help a lot
try to be active and engage with your known costumers. Give them promo codes or stuff like that.
For any kind of Review like facebook etc.there are actually a lot of ways to make costumers review your business or services without even asking. One that I actually like is the "Gamification".
If you for example have a wordpress site there are a lot of plugins like Incrwd or Punchtab that will award your costumers with points and achievments. You know they love it.
Anyway hoped I helped even a bit.

Local SEO - Review's Strategy
I'm trying to brainstorm some ideas for obtaining positive reviews for a my client who's a local business on Yelp and Google+. I think it's best to capture a customer in the "happy moment" after a successful transaction with that business. I'm thinking integrating the option for customers to leave a review on Yelp or Google+ during the transaction process would be best. Do you have any suggestions or experiences on the best way to integrate this into a transaction process where a customer physically walks into their business to make the transaction? (it's an Auto Body Shop BTW) Also any other strategies for getting customers to give reviews? Much appreciated!

Google Places Zoom level question
One of my clients (a dealership) has 2 google places listings. One for their actual dealership and one for their parts and service dept (they are separate buildings 5-10 mins away from each other). When you search for their name "Westchester Toyota" both in web and maps the only result is for the parts and service building. Both listings are active and verified (and both are in good standings). The weirder part is that if you take that same search in maps "Westchester Toyota" zoom out a few levels and search again Boom both listings appear... Not only that but the main stores listing is places as listing A. I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this issue and has a solution? I believe on the initial search Google is deeming the parts and service listing as the dominant listing (which is why it zooms in so far) but then Google throws me for a loop making the real listing the "A" when you zoom out. Note: The main listing is closer to Westchester, NY. Any insight is appreciated!

Google+ Pages and an unknown owner...how do I claim it or get it removed?
Hello, I am working on a clients social networking campaign and have found a Google+ page for their company. It looks like it was created approx a year ago. The client doesn't know who created it or what account has control of it in their network. I need to make a Google+ page for them so I can use it in their marketing that I can actually access. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on how I can either: Find the owner/email that is associated with the Google+ Page? or Have it removed so I can create a fresh one? which I know I can report the page as compromised but will that work in a timely manner? Please any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated, and thanks!! 🙂 Jeff

Hello Everyone, I'm just wondering, is there a quick and good way to actually cause a google alert for a keyword? I'm thinking of a press release, but there must be several other ways as well. I look forward to your response. Thanks!
