Ok Chris no worries, apology accepted, amybe i drank too much coffee

Gosh, please don't take it badly--it was meant entirely in fun, I even put a happy face in my reply. I think you ask great questions and I enjoy your references to Weatherby, UK. I hope you can accept my apologies.

Thanks Tim, very Helpfull & so what if you produced the content

Chris,
Ive no idea what your talking about and to be honest I'm quite cross youve jumped on some bizarre theme of geocommentspam.
Why oh why did you do this? This is the first time Ive ever had a reply from a cynical viewpoint and had the audacity to tarnish my profile by playing judge & Jury.
Maybe youve drank too much cofee I just dont get how a question or any questions Ive posed could be in any way remotely related to brand building.
For the record this is the second time youve given me an obtuse answer whilst other responses from other community members are 99% on the money. So if anyones in line for a slap on the wrist by an administrator it should be you for playing judge & jury.
Well done mate, have a great wk end!
-
I'm not able to point you to a superlative guide on that subject.
However, I would like to introduce the idea of "geocommentspam" : -) as I'm beginning to wonder if your questions aren't actually cloaks for unsolicited bits of "information" pertaining to a targeted geographic location.
Now, some people may see your comments as a good way of raising awareness and brand building for a community, while others may see them as superfluous, off topic rhetoric that detracts from the conversation at hand-- and may not actually even be coming from a resident of such location, rather, from someone from outside who was paid to make it appear more popular, inviting, and worthwhile than it may actually be.
Depending on which way the wind blows, I have to say that a manual penalty from the powers that be may possibly be in store for you.

How to rip benefits of Facebook Group likes and shares?
Hi guys. So, here is the question/task I'm battling for several days: As you know, you can't share as a company page in facebook groups. However, you can on other pages. If I share on other page, and people like my post, I can invite those people to like my page, no problem there. However, if I want to share a post in FB group, I can only share as myself, and whenever people like that post, they like a post of me as a person, therefore I can't invite them to like my page, unless I add them as a friend (which is not the best scenario really). The same question goes towards when someone shares a post. So, what is the best way to get some benefits from people I can't invite to like a page directly? Thanks!

International Social Media Pages
If your going to target multiple countries but who have same language (such as US & UK) which of the main social media accounts should you set up a country specific version for ? I know some like Google+ allow for sub-pages/listings for different localities/outlets etc so I presume you only need the one G+ company page (but pls confirm if you agree or not ?). I keep hearing peeps say set up country specific Twitter and FaceBook pages, do you agree ? and what about other main social sites like Pinterest & LinkedIn etc ? Thanks Dan

Makeoverfor our Facebook page titles! question about open graph and Google
Hello, We have two Facebook pages for our company, one in English and one in Arabic. A few weeks ago we wanted to change the Facebook page titles but this option was not allowed for both pages. Now Facebook is giving us an option to change the title for both pages: We had a lengthy discussion regarding the best way to name our Facebook pages. Currently our Facebook pages titles are: For the one in English: "X" ( X - our brand name in English*) For the page in Arabic: "X - Arabic" ( X- our brand name in English*) We agreed to change the title for the page in English to: X - (The main 3 keywords in our brand's field in English) ( X - our brand name in English).* for the Arabic page we suggested to change the title to: X - (The main 3 keywords in our company field in Arabic)** ( X - our brand name in English).* **** We will translate the main 3 keywords to Arabic** We have a few questions: - How does the search work in Facebook? Does the open graph algorithm take into account the page's content and/or its title and description? - Is there any preferred way to name the Facebook pages? We were debating using the company's slogans versus the main keywords for our brand. ? Or should the title contain just the brand name? - What components of the Facebook page title and URL affect our page's visibility in Google for a search on our brand name? It's important to mention that Google currently does not show the Arabic page in the 1st page in Google. Thank you in advance for your help!

Short Facebook page name/vanity URL
Does anyone know how to go about getting a page name on Facebook of less than 5 characters? I saw Moz was able to claim facebook.com/moz (BTW, congrats on the redesign!), and many other brands also have claimed page names under 5 characters. Has anyone else had success claiming a short page name? Do you have to know the right person at Facebook, or are there other requirements? We have around 35K likes on our page, and our site gets a pretty good amount of traffic. My boss doesn't like any of my ideas that are 5+ characters... she really wants the short URL. If anyone has any insights on what I need to do (or who I need to talk to at Facebook), I'd really appreciate it!

Is there any SEO benefit of adding the Facebook "Like" widget to your site?
A lot of sites put their Facebook "Like" widget on their homepage and it shows the number of people who like them. Is there an SEO or marketing benefit to having this. I could see how this can provide social proof to visitors. Are there any other benefits?

How much of an impact does Google+ page age have?
Do Google+ pages gain authority with age? Does it matter very much if I wait a few months to make a Google+ page as opposed to establishing it now, even if I won't be doing much work on it for a while?

Promoting a Facebook Contest
Hi, Mozzers- I'm running a contest for a client of mine via Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/barrettmoving. The prizes are great an iPad2 and an iPod Touch! The contest is pretty cool too. Basically it's a papercraft / travel thing that appeals to a wide range of people. Anyway, here's my question - I've started promoting the contest via social media, the website, online contests...like to get to promoting it on relevant blogs too. I'm in the beginning stages. Any other ideas? Has anyone had luck with PPC or FB ads? Thanks in advance! LHC oVThP5PcRvo
