Best way to nofollow affiliate links?

I don't "nofollow" affiliate links but I have quite a few. Doing them one by one would just be an impossible job. Would it be best to get a plugin that nofollows EVERYTHING? What would google prefer? I need to DOFOLLOW some links because those sites deserve it.

If it's Amazon you are concerned with you could probably just leave them as-is. However, you could also run a scan of your site using a tool like Screaming Frog or OSE and look for outbound links going to Amazon.com and other known affiliate sites. This will at least make tracking them down to manually update them easier.
You could probably have this done at the database level too, though that is something for which you'll probably want to hire a DBA.
The following article has the best idea I could find for your situation, though it still isn't perfect because you could be applying a nofollow meta tag (as opposed to a nofollow link attribute) to pages that have both affiliate links AND editorial links that you want followed. I want to dofollow links to great blog posts or websites - NOT affiliate links. I cannot find a plugin that nofollows affiliate links. Any suggestions? Amazon does not redirect and I have a lot of Amazon affiliate links.

I would not nofollow "everything" on your site, as in every outbound link, affiliate or not. However, if you can find a plugin that will nofollow every "affiliate" link, you could go back and manually remove the nofollow link on those you wish to editorially endorse - though "technically" you shouldn't have a financial arrangement with them.
Much of the time affiliate links go through some sort of redirect that blocks pagerank anyway, such as a 302, or a redirect to a blocked folder, etc... This is typical with most of the larger affiliate networks.

Hello, Our website hosts sponsored content from different brands. Should we be listing the sponsor either on the frontend and/or through markup? - Would either way have any sort of an impact? The content itself is already clearly marked as 'sponsored content' but we were more interested in listing the specific sponsor. Internal Links Catalog (too many links)
I have several car catalogs that I use to direct my customers to the parts for their vehicle. Example:http://www.mikesfuel.com/Acura_c_69.html My customers like the approach. They can easily find their vehicle, then scan the columns for the parts that they need. Each part number is a link and the part numbers are sometimes posted several times in one column. All of the links are internal to the web site. My fear is that this is going to be treated as a link farm. I have considered using a PDF catalog with links, but that is going to be hugely expensive. How to add an affiliate store
Hi all Just wondering what other Mozewrs' would do about this..... I want to add a revenue stream to a blog of mine and I have decided that an affiliate store is the way to go. I can create a store with merchant datafeeds and pull in products related to my site, and all being well make some pennies from it. Obviously all the datafeeds are published on many other sites and so it will be very duplicate content. Would blocking Googlebot from the store be enough to ensure that the site doesn't receive a penalty for duplicate content? I would be keen on getting the product category pages indexed but not too worried about the actual products themselves. I would like to make some revenue from the site but not at the risk of killing the blog. Thanks

Nofollow on site-wide banner links

Social media links/buttons - best practices
Has anyone tested social media buttons, to see which types, styles, and placements get the most clicks? Should they go at the top of an article, or are they OK at the bottom? Should the icons definitely have labels? Display # of tweets and Likes? How big should they be? My preference is for discrete buttons with a smallish, plain icon and a label. I don't display tweets or Likes, unless it's a healthy number. And I still think a "share by email" icon is important. I put them at the bottom of the article, to keep the home page uncluttered and lead the eye into reading the article. I'm also concerned about leaking rank from the homepage, especially for a site that's still establishing itself. But if moving buttons to the top gets more shares, that's probably better. Is there a Wordpress plugin that you really like? (I haven't found one yet - I'm still hardcoding my social media buttons.) Opinions are great, but test results are better! Can anyone share?

Best site structure for SEO
Hi, I'm currently in the process of redesigning/rebuilding a well ranking but a dated looking and structured website. Using analytics info I'm trying to put togerther an optimied site map plan for the site based on keywords. Currently the site is structured like this (a few examples) for some of its best ranking keywords / landing pages www.companyname.co.uk/frames/software/companyname-software/keyword/overview.php www.companyname.co.uk/frames/software/companyname-software/keyword/keyword.php I'd like to simplfy this as part of the re build so url's look like this www.companyname.co.uk/companyname-software/softwarecatogry/keyword Obviously I would 201 the old urls. My question is : A. is this a good idea? (From what I've read it is?) B. is there any benifit from having the company name repeated in the url (ie www.companyname.co.uk/companyname-software). My thinking before this is that companyname-software currently ranks well and brings a good amount of traffic. Or should I just go with www.companyname.co.uk/software/softwarecatogry/keyword as opposed to www.companyname.co.uk/companyname-software/softwarecatogry/keyword? Many thanks in advance!
