Relation between Page and Landing Page
-
Hi all,
I am looking through the Analytics data on a specific 'page' (404.html which is the Not found page) and as my secondary dimensions, I have Landing Page data. Now am I not sure how the page and the landing page are related here. Is it basically saying 58 Page views of the 404.html were originated by the users who landed on brochures.html? If someone could provide any pointers on it, it would be great. Thank you for your time.

By the looks of the bounce-rate on the 404.html pageviews where the landing page wasn't 404.html, I'd say those were people clicking bad internal links and hitting your 404.html. The landing page data in this view simply means they landed on your brochures.html page and at some point in their visit, hit the 404 page.

Strange - Search Console page indexing "../Detected" as 404
Anyone seen this lately? All of a sudden Google Search Console is insisting in Page indexing that there is a 404 for a page that has never existed on our client's site: https://........com.au/Detected We've noticed this across a number of sites, precisely in this way with a capitalised "/Detected" To me it looks like something spammy is being submitted to the SERPs (somehow) and Google is trying to index that and then getting a 404. Naturally MOZ isn't picking it up, cause the page simply never existed - it's just happening in Search Console 2afc7e35-71e4-4e25-80a3-690bf10776a7.png It comes and it goes in the 404 alerts in Console and is really annoying. I reckon it started happening late 2022.

No-indexed pages are still showing up as landing pages in Google Analytics
Hello, My website is a local job board. I de-indexed all of the job listing pages on my site (anything that starts with http://www.localwisejobs.com/job/). When I search site:localwisejobs.com/job/, nothing shows up. So I think that means the pages are not being indexed. When I look in Google Analytics at Acquisition > Search Engine Optimization > Landing Pages, none of the job listing pages show up. But when I look at Acquisition > Channels > Organic and then click Landing Page as the primary dimension, the /job pages show up in there. Why am I seeing this discrepency in Organic Landing pages? And why would the /job pages be showing up as landing pages even though they aren't indexed?

In other words, how can see the text and what not it sees from start to finish on each page. I know there was a site, but I can't remember it.

How to get metrics on Home page image link to youtube video in lightbox
My home page has a explainer video. Is there a way to get metrics or analytics data about who watch or don't watch the video? http://www.furnacefilterscanada.com For example, if I have 100 unique visitors on this page and my video get 33 views, 33% saw the video! I think the data provide by youtube are not accurate, my site has a avarage of 40 visitors/day and my video was saw 84 times sinces it is online, 14 days ago. On that 84 clicks, I most have click 30 times!!! When you lend on my home page, you can't miss it! http://screencast.com/t/ZbIWYl0W I don't believe only a few visitors saw it. Conversation rate has increase. I use Google Analytics, is there a code or something that can be done to get metrics or data more accurate then the .Ananalytics" provide in my youtube control panel? Please HELP! thank you, BigBlaze

2 days in the past week Google has crawled 10x the average pages crawled per day. What does this mean?
For the past 3 months my site www.dlawlesshardware.com has had an average of about 400 pages crawled per day by google. We have just over 6,000 indexed pages. However, twice in the last week, Google crawled an enormous percentage of my site. After averaging 400 pages crawled for the last 3 months, the last 4 days of crawl stats say the following. 2/1 - 4,373 pages crawled 2/2 - 367 pages crawled 2/3 - 4,777 pages crawled 2/4 - 437 pages crawled What is the deal with these enormous spike in pages crawled per day? Of course, there are also corresponding spikes in kilobytes downloaded per day. Essentially, Google averages crawling about 6% of my site a day. But twice in the last week, Google decided to crawl just under 80% of my site. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? I have literally no idea what this means and I haven't found anyone else with the same problem. Only people complaining about massive DROPS in pages crawled per day. Here is a screenshot from Webmaster Tools: http://imgur.com/kpnQ8EP The drop in time spent downloading a page corresponded exactly to an improvement in our CSS. So that probably doesn't need to be considered, although I'm up for any theories from anyone about anything.

I am begining to suspect that I have some sort of Google penalty but I cannot know for sure.
I believe I comply with all Google guidelines and I think the SEO is good.
Possibly the eBay affiliate links are the problem but they form a large part of the content and user experience.
The page gives a price guide for items in different conditions and has various other tools for the user. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks for your time in advance. Alan0
