Question about a Old Domain
-
My question is about a previously used Domain. recently one of my client buy a new domain and now start working with that. he ask me to manage google webmaster and analysis. Yesterday i found its showing 360 Not found error. and showing some link which is not generated by my client, maybe previously this domain was used and these link are generated at that time.
in webmaster tools i use Remove URLs to remove these links from google.
My question to experts:
it will effect my clients site?
can i overcome from this situation? or better to use a new domain?
at opensiteexplorer its showing Domain authority is 6/100, Page authority 16/100

The site URL looks fine, and here is a link to a previous page:
I don't see anything really bad with a quick look, but it might be good to do a bit more deep diving to make sure...

FYI, I would take a look at the Way Back Machine to see cached versions of the site, and make sure that the content on the site is not something that was spammy or objectionable to future search results. If the site was penalized, or your gut says it's not good, it might hurt your efforts.
On the other hand, if the age of the domain name is really old, it might help out with the new site's relative rankings...

What would be causing our linking domains and inbound links to decline?
I am noticing a decline in the number of our linking domains and inbound links from month to month. It isn't drastic but looking like a trend. Any reason why this would happen? I'm not sure where to start. Thanks!

Tracking sessions from a sub-domain that is 301 redirected to main domain
Hi, one of my client is launching a new site on a subdomain newsite.brand.com.au but will use a shorter URL on the packaging on their new rang of products to be sold in supermarkets, prompting shoppers to visit xxx.brand.com.au. This specific sub-domain xxx.brand.com.au will be 301 redirecting to newsite.brand.com.au How can I identify and track accurrately all the visits coming from xxx.brand.com.au to newsite.brand.com.au?The visits from sub-domain xxx.brand.com.au will be attributed to direct channel I guess. Is it worth adding GA on this 301 redirected sub-domain xxx.brand.com.au or there another way to identify those visits on newsite.brand.com.au ?

E Commerce and cross domain tracking on universal analytics?
Hi Mozzers, I am running into an issue where my client's website ( can refer to domain.com) uses a third party checkout site called rezovation that we can refer to checkout.rezovation.com: I went through this doc here https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cross-domain and https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/ecommerce (for universal analytics) and I still find it confusing so here are my questions: According to my understanding I need a customized GATC to link both domains checkout.rezovation.com and domain.com? If yes(above), do we setup one customized GATC for cross domain tracking on all pages from checkout.rezovation.com and domain.com? if it is the case can someone provide detail steps on how to set it up ( I am not a coder so the easier the guideline, the better) Once cross domain tracking is set up, e commerce tracking code should be only on thank you page should be looking like the image below? Should i add manually all the extra code for the ecommerce tracking code or I can get it done via a third party website? Thank you guys! oPgn8P4.png

Will 301 redirects (Same Domain) show as referral traffic in Analytics?
For an eCommerce site we have 301'd legacy product pages to new product pages. Is all that traffic going to show up as referral traffic from our own domain in Google Analytics? If so, is there any way to preserve original source/medium info or will all the source/medium info be our own domain since there is a 301 redirect?

Cross Domain Tracking
I want to track across domains, but also track as a virtual pageview anytime someone clicks on the link to another domain. So currently I have, for example: Checkout Now! As per Google's instructions, I need to have the link set to: Checkout Now! But this will obviously get rid of my virtual pageview. Is there a way I can do both?

'Search Queries Report' in Webmaster Tools Question
Hi, How much do you use the search queries report in webmaster tools to research current rankings/movements? It does look like a great tool but the data doesn't seem to be spot on. For example a keyword over a week might have flux in position so lets say 6.0 then 9.2 for 3 days then back to 6.0. But I check the serp's for this keyword everyday and didn't see any movement?!?! Is this a good tool for you?

Ecommerce tracking problem with multiple domains on 1 web property
We recently launched 13 product marketing sites based on a Wordpress Multisite setup. To track all 13 sites we decided to use one web property, so we can use the same tracking code for all domains. To track the sites seperately, we set up a profile for each product site with a hostname filter. This works well for most stats, but eCommerce tracking is where the problem starts. Per profile we obviously want to track the products purchases on that website only. What happens now is that all purchases from all product sites are tracked on all profiles. How can we change this? Should I alter the eCommerce tracking code or can I fix this with an additional filter per profile? Thanks for your help Mozzers! Regards, Pieter van Diggele

Our SEO is garbage. can someone answer a few questions for me?
I've seen our SEO drop to more or less the bottom of the barrel, and I don't have any answers yet as to why. SEOMoz is running it's crawl currently, and I have a few errors about duplicate titles and content, so I know I have some work cut out for me. But, why the sudden drop? The only change I made at the time was a change to our URL structure, but all links were 301'd to their new location. Does this still hurt SEO that terribly? Also, our robots.txt file is getting indexed and showing up as the first result at times. Very embarrassing. It's doing better than our other pages. 😞 I don't get what's happening here. Yrzu3,fkbYu
