MOZ Toolbar 3.0: Can't Find the Meta Description On My Page, Why?
-
Hey,
The new MOZ toolbar is unable to identify the meta description on any of the pages for my doman www.1099pro.com. Is there any reason that someone can see why that would be?
The tag should be correct on all pages.
Thanks!

The company page would be suited to the rel=publisher tag
The better way to explain the author tag is like a book.
On the back of the book you don't have info on the publisher but the author the same is true here, the tag is to say who wrote the content not who published it thus the two tags.
So you want to use the author tag on the personal profile or who ever wrote it.
in short: use your personal profile.

Almost there. I've signed up for my authorship under all of the companies under the corporation but I am confused about what to do with the author tag.
Ideally, I'd like the Author to show up as my company and not me personally. Does this mean that I put "https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/117986687211195857413/" (my company page) in the Author tag instead of "https://plus.google.com/105918311011763510846/" (my personal profile with my work email)?
I really appreciate all your help!

It won't change the readability of the meta description just saw it.
First off you need a Google plus account in there at the moment you have "WEBSITE Pro, Inc. (www.WEBSITE.com)"
Some really helpful links to help you are here-
https://plus.google.com/authorship
http://www.searchenginepeople.com/blog/how-to-set-up-google-authorship.html
finally you can test it here -
http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets
In short, you just need to put your Google url into the author tag and link the profile with the website.
Any problems let me know.

Thanks Chris,
How should I set the author tag correctly?
I'll give that a shot first.

I'm just guessing but it could be your set up with a canonical to https & the site is https one side note you don't seem to have the author tag set correctly. I'm not sure if at this point if Moz will go into https
Can always give [email protected] a try they may be able to shed some light it could just be some teething troubles.

Filter Pages
Howdy Moz Forum!! I have a headache of a job over here in the UK and I'd welcome any advice! - It's sunny today, only 1 of 5 days in a year and i'm stuck on this! I have a client that currently has 22,000 pages indexed to Google with almost 4000 showing as duplicate content. The site has a "jobs" and "candidates" list. This can cause all sorts of variations such as job title, language, location etc. The filter pages all seem to be indexed. Plus the static pages are indexed. For example if there were 100 jobs at Moz being advertised, it is displaying the jobs on the following URL structure - /moz
Moz Pro | | Slumberjac
/moz/moz-jobs
/moz/moz-jobs/page/2
/moz/moz-jobs/page/3
/moz/moz-jobs/page/4
/moz/moz-jobs/page/5 ETC ETC Imagine this with some going up to page/250 I have checked GA data and can see that although there are tons of pages indexed this way, non of them past the "/moz/moz-jobs" URL get any sort of organic traffic. So, my first question! - Should I use rel-canonical tags on all the /page/2 & /page/3 etc results and point them all at the /moz/moz-jobs parent page?? The reason for this is these pages have the same title and content and fall very close to "duplicate" content even though it does pull in different jobs... I hope i'm making sense? There is also a lot of pages indexed in a way such as- https://www.examplesite.co.uk/moz-jobs/search/page/9/?candidate_search_type=seo-consulant&candidate_search_language=blank-language These are filter pages... and as far as I'm concerned shouldn't really be indexed? Second question! - Should I "no follow" everything after /page in this instance? To keep things tidy? I don't want all the variations indexed! Any help or general thoughts would be much appreciated! Duplicate Content/Missing Meta Description | Pages DO NOT EXISIT!
Hello all, For the last few months, Moz has been showing us that our site has roughly 2,000 duplicate content errors. Pages that were actually duplicate content, I took care of accordingly using best practice (301 redirects, canonicalization,etc.). Still remaining after these fixes were errors showing for pages that we have never created. Our homepage is www.primepay.com. An example of pages that are being shown as duplicate content is http://primepay.com/blog/%5BLink%20to%20-%20http:/www.primepay.com/en/payrollservices/payroll/payroll/payroll/online-payroll with a referring page of http://primepay.com/blog/%5BLink%20to%20-%20http:/www.primepay.com/en/payrollservices/payroll/payroll/online-payroll. Some of these are even now showing up as 403 and 404 errors. The only real page on our site within that URL strand is primepay.com/payroll or primepay.com/payroll/online-payroll. Therefore, I am not sure where Moz is getting these pages from. Another issue we are having in relation to duplicate content is that moz is showing old campaign url’s tacked on to our blog page i.e. http://primepay.com/blog?title=&page=2&utm_source=blog&utm_medium=blogCTA&utm_campaign=IRSblogpost&qt-blog_tabs=1. As of this morning, our duplicate content went from 2,000 to 18,000. I exported all of our crawl diagnostics data and looked to see what the referring pages were, and even they are not pages that we have created. When you click on these links, they take you to a random point in time from the homepage of our blog; some dating back to 2010. I checked our crawl stats in both Google and Bing’s Webmaster tool, and there are no duplicate content or 400 level errors being reporting from their crawl. My team is truly at a loss with trying to resolve this issue and any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Meta Tag Descriptions not being found in Moz Crawls
Hey guys, I have been managing a few websites and have input them into Moz for crawl reports, etc. For a while I have noticed that we were getting a gratuitous amount of errors when it came to the number of missing meta tags. It was numbering in the 200's. The sites were in place before I got here and a lot of the older posts no one had even attempted to include tags, links of the page or anything. As they are all Wordpress Sites and they all already had the Yoast/Wordpress SEO plug-in installed on them, I decided I would go through each post and media file one at a time and update their meta tags via the plug in. I personally did this so I know that I added and saved each one, however the Moz crawl reports continue to show that we are missing roughly 200 meta tags. I've seen a huge drop off in 404 errors and stuff since I went through and double checked everything on the sites, however the meta tag errors persist. Is this the case that Moz is not recognizing the tags when it crawls because I used the Yoast Plugin? Or would you say that the plugin is the issue and I should find another way to add meta tags to the pages and posts on the site? My main concern is that if Moz is having issues crawling the sites, is Google also seeing the same thing? The URLS include:

7 Days into My Account and Only Crawled 3 Pages - What's Happened?
Am I doing something wrong? So far only 3 pages of my site have been crawled - but my account has been live for 7 days. Would it tell me if it was having trouble crawling the rest of the site?

IP Location at a glance - Moz toolbar
I am using the latest version of the moz toolbar in my firefox browser. The IP location feature is not working for me as demonstrated in the article. "You will now notice a new button with a flag that shows up in the toolbar as you surf the web. This new toolbar addition shows the country where this site is hosted. Click on the flag to see more details about the location and IP address. If you want to learn more, click on the IP to access WhoIs information." My flag icon is depressed and looks like a US flag, even when I browse European sites. Also, I never see the location nor IP address of other sites. Am I missing a step or is the tool not working correctly?
