Is my Company Blog Affecting my Main Company Website?
-
mywebsite.com has a niche related blog on mywebsite.com/blog.
Should i be separating it with a subdomain blog.mywebsite.com? Could the blog content be diluting my website's message?
My Reasoning
Google Webmaster Tools --> Significance is leaning towards general terms (blog topics related) as apposed to mywebsite.com targeted terms.

LOL, I don't know why it came out that I deleted also the first answer...
I confirm what said in the other answer and give you the reasons:
-
the blog in the same subdomain, like it is now, extends the long tail the site is ranking for (aka: you site is more visible for a bigger number of serps
-
the blog gives a voice to your site, the more relevant the more the content of the blog is high quality
-
all the links that the blog by itself obtains, are links that affects all the site, therefore also the "standard" part of it, helping its rankings
-
-
always best to have site.com/blog as you don't risk SEs seeing the two as different sites. Rand spoke to this, so you might want to do a search on SEOmoz.

Irrelevant blog contents negatively affect ranking for main keywords?
Hi Moz Community, I am working at a branding company. Currently, we found our ranking for main keywords (branding company) is dropping a little. I am suspicious of the new blog posts that we published lately. We wrote different kind of stuff, such as company culture, how to inspire employees, the importance of leadership and some other stuff that is actually not as related to our main keyword - branding company. My question is, will these irrelevant posts hurt our ranking for main keyword, to some extent? Thank you. Best, Raymond

Having issues crawling a website
We looked to use the Screaming Frog Tool to crawl this website and get a list of all meta-titles from the site, however, it only resulted with the one result - the homepage. We then sought to obtain a list of the URLs of the site by creating a sitemap using https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/. Once again however, we just go the one result - the homepage. There is something that seems to be restricting these tools from crawling all pages. If you anyone can shed some light as to what this could be, we'd be most appreciative.

Could i add my website in Google News
Hi , I am looking to add article news section of my website http://goo.gl/De5MKo in google news. We'll remove all content from this news section http://www.99acres.com/articles/real-estate-news and upload unique news, might be possible we use graph/chart and images from some other news site and other sources but the content will be unique and fresh. Any specific guidelines for URL structure for this news section? We are thinking about to create URL like xyz.com/news/
. Is it okay and will not harm our site? Google News can consider my section as a news?

Main page - catogory and sub-catogories
This is a complex one for me but here goes. my site sales personalized widgets and this is the main keyword. other keyword that convert are gold personalized widgets silver personalized widgets brass personalized widgets and many others. all those keywords are categories including the main keyword. (each category is a page on my site optimized for that category) (If you did not guess already I sale jewelry. I assume that having the keyword included in links pointing to intenal category pages dilute the importance of this keyword on the main page? there are few options I consider. for testing have the gold, silver and others to include canonical to the main page just to test the affect on the main keyword. Not pointing from the main page to those sub-category pages - it feels wrong to me just canonize the main keyword category page to point to the main page Would love o hear what are our thoughts
