Reviews Duplicate Issue
-
Hi,
I have one query,
Can we use the reviews displayed in one website to other website. I mean
I have one product and has different websites for that.
Can i use the reviews that i got in one of my website in my other website. Will it bring any duplicate content issue?
Also one more question
for example, consider i am running a review website, can i list the reviews that has been displayed in different websites to my review websites . Whether it will bring any copyright issue?

If the use of the reviews is for the purpose of user experience there are review aggregates that will share reviews between two domains without placing them in the source code. This will leave out duplicate content penalties and it will not have any effect on SEO. Since the reviews will not be in the code, there will be no positive or negative SEO effects. Yotpo is an aggregate that displays reviews like an RSS feed, and it leaves them out of the source code.

Jarno is correct is using canonical tags on the same URL. However to me the way your question is phrased seems that you will be using content from different domains which would have no impact on your duplicate content if the domains are unique.

Hi,
If I get what you are asking then you will be facing duplicate content issues unless you use a canonical tag stating where you get the reviews from. So for instance if you have product A on websites Z, Y and X (hopefully every site has it's own unique content for the product or you'll be facing duplicate content issues right away).
If you get reviews on Z you want to use them on X and Y
If your get reviews on X you want to use them on Z and Y
etc.I think you can use canonical tags pointing in the direction you get the information from but I am not sure it will do the trick. Maybe there is a widget of plugin for the site that gets the reviews from a review site and shows them on the other sites? That might be a lot better and a lot less complicated. Or just keep the reviews at each site. But that is just stating the obvious.

Structured data - reviews & aggregateRating
Hi all, We recently implemented structured data for reviews, specifically aggregateRating, on a few of our pages as a test. An example page is: https://www.vouchedfor.co.uk/financial-advisor-ifa/cambridge/01740-duncan-hannay-robertson Initially, this seemed to work well and we could see the star ratings and review number showing in Google search results. However, now it seems to have disappeared. Search console and the testing tool seem to suggest the structured data looks fine - when I posted this in the webmasters forum, the response I got was that it was because we're trying to mark what google deems a 'person' as a 'local business', which triggers their spam warning. And you can't have reviews for a person, apparently. I guess we're unique in that we're a review platform for professional advisers (for example, financial advisers). So whilst the profile is for a person, it's also a business - the reviews are for the professional services clients receive. Feels unfair to be penalised just because Google hasn't thought of our use case! We'd love to be able to showcase our review content, but feels like we're running out of ideas here. If anyone has any ideas for how we can make this work, it would be hugely appreciated!!

Review page set up
Hey Gang! So I have a client with multiple locations in different metros. I would like to set up a page in WordPress for each metro that the technician can give to the happy client so they can review us. I would like to have a link to my GMB, Yelp, Yellowpages, and whatever else I can grab. Is there a badass plugin for this or what would you guys do? Much love.

What's the best way to keep Google My Business reviews when the business changes names?
I work with an interior designer who is re-branding and changing her business name to focus specifically on windows. Can she keep her GMB reviews and just change the name of her business, then reverify with Google? She doesn't want to lose her current local pack ranking.

How to Properly Add Simple Review Schema to Your Website For a Review Pulled from a Third-Party Site
Hello, I'd like to pull the content of a review from a third-party site and put it on my client's website. My plan is to add review schema to this content but I want to make sure everything I'm doing is white hat before I implement. Can someone please tell me if the following example is okay to do? For example...
Reviews and Ratings | | Etna
I'd like to pull an entire review from Yelp and put it on my website. I would link out to the review on Yelp and then give credit to Yelp in the publisher section of the schema. If I give credit to the name of the reviewer and where the review is being pulled from (in this case Yelp) on both the actual website as well as in the schema, is this white hat and something I could implement? Also, is "simple review" markup the correct markup to use in this scenario?

Want to use Google Business Pages but Spam Reviews are putting me off
Not sure if I am missing something here...I have phoned and asked Google business how they deal with reviews which are potentially fake and damaging to a business reputation, it seems there is very little a small local business can do about them other than report the review with no guarantee of anyone helping ...Has anyone else had this issue as I would really like to use this service to assist with rankings on google? It is hard to convince (and to be honest I don't want to have to convince!) a local business that this is a good service at the same time as informing them they will more than likely have to spend extra time fending off fake reviews...Not seen any good answers anywhere else, ignoring the reviews, adding more positive reviews or replying/managing reviews are not an option. Hope someone can help with this, thanks

Why ratings (no. of reviews & stars) still not showing in search results?
We implemented Schema and submitted the pages (with actual ratings and reviews) to Google Webmaster's Structured Data Markup tool a few weeks ago, but the ratings (stars and no. of reviews) are not showing yet. How long do I need to wait? TIA!

Outrank Warriorforum.com review
Hi Everyone, When you search our company name we dominate the first page with site links and our social links. Recently a Warriorforum.com review jumped to the third position from a post back in Oct. Thankfully it's a good review, but I would prefer if the site wasn't #3. We recently published a Wikipedia article that was approved with the intent to get it ranked in the first page. Do you have any other thoughts on how to outrank those review sites? Right now the SERP looks like: 1. Company Website with 6 sitelinks

2. Company Twitter link
3. Warriorforum.com Review
4. News about our Company
5. Company Youtube
6. Company Facebook
7. Company LinkedIn
8. Third party review Thank you!0
