Google news rejection
-
Google News is always rejecting my application. I feel as if my site strongly fits the requirements yet they reject it all the time.
My url is hiddentriforce.com
Any thoughts?

They have every one of my competitors included who cover the same content we do. So that should not be an issue. I do have a news sitemap as well

Noah, they're really looking for more news news sites instead of sites that just offer news on a certain topic. I had a site that also was rejected many many times and we finally got them in a couple of months ago. When we started making really clear that we had the best news in a certain industry they approved us. You could try this but I doubt that you'll be successfull. Have you also created a news sitemap?

News site and duplicate/cannibalism/old
Hey everybody. I am working with a handful of medical news websites and some of these sites are rather large. I am noticing/suspecting there is some cannibalism going on here. How do news sites deal with this? Do they noindex the old stuff? Update the old stuff instead of writing a new piece all together? Curious what to do!

I verified my site both www. and non www. with google search console a while back and yet for neither domain am I seeing any data at all under Search Appearance and under index status (under google index) it is saying 0 pages indexed even though I can see in google search there are over 116. Any idea why this might be? Thanks

Republishing Breaking News
Hi Everyone, Quick question. If there is breaking news on something and a major outlet of that publishes the content and then republishes the breaking news (new H1 and possible new title tag) will that affect them in organic and/or Google news listings? I know that speed is a major factor in publishing breaking news but, if the URL doesn't change upon republishing, will Google still rank the article as high if the H1 or title tag changes?

Does Google use 302's to pass value to the target page?
Hi, I've received the below advice, is this correct? Throughout the site, the 302 (moved temporarily) status code is used for redirects, which Google will use to pass value to the target page. Is this correct? I was under the impression a 301 was used to pass value to the target page? Could someone explain the difference between a 301 and a 302, I'm not 100% sure. Thanks, Nathan

How? Title in Google differs than actual title tag
Just curious on how sites do this? If you search for a video (perhaps Green Lantern Trailer), you'll see the YouTube results in Google/Bing listed as YouTube - Green Lantern Trailer but when you go to the page, the actual title tag displayed is Green Lantern Trailer - YouTube I've seen other sites do this too. I'm just curious what they are doing (I don't see any other title tags in the html)? I thought your title tag is what is displayed in SERP? Thanks,
