Linkedin "company website" link - any value?
-
Hi
So, on Linkedin, I can put my company website. I've been trying to figure out if this is a nofollow, or do follow - or, not even really a link.
Here's how it appears in my profile's source code
Websites
- <a target="_blank" <strong="">href="/redir/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmaxvape%2Ecom&urlhash=MtlQ&trk=ppro_website">Company Website</a>
Is this even a "link"? I'm guessing the way it is built, no it's not even a nofollow link.
Secondly, does anyone know any good link-juice you can get form Linkedin.
Thanks!

Bingo - I agree Joe! To me it looks like the way LinkedIn built this, it's not even a no-follow link.
If anyone else knows of any LinkedIn strategy, I'd love to hear more.

My view is no actual link juice is passed through to your website with the Linkedin re-direct script. I have never seen a Linkedin link on any of my clients back links list for the link equity domain listings. That being said I would use Linkedin as a great source for networking to grow your business.
Hope that helps,
Joe

Hello Ted,
sorry, my mistake, i meant GWT -> Google Webmaster Tools

What is GTW?

This is for sure a follow link so they are followed by the search engine
But the follow link is not to your website, rather redirects, so i´m not sure how much link juice is your site getting.
I would try it and check in GWT if google detect it is as a link from linkedin

Pintrest links not showing on Open Site Explorer
Hi, sorry for the 'simple' question, but I have one client who has a Pintrest link which shows up on the Open site Explorer (Page Authority 60, Domain Authority 100) and a second client who also uses Pintrest but their link doesn't show up on Open Site Explorer. I didn't set either of the clients' Pintrest pages up myself, but I can't see why the 2nd client's page isn't showing up in Open site explorer:- http://pinterest.com/unilifestudents/photoshoot-park-house/

Should you have both google authorship & publisher set up on a website?
I have read that its a good idea to have both rel=author & rel= publisher set up on a website If so What is the best way to set it up to where rel=author and rel=publisher appear in your website source code? I use wordpress genesis site and have the Yoast seo plugin **In the user profile section on WP there is an area to enter google Authorship link **In the Yoast dashboard there is a place to enter google publisher link. When I check my source code…….I see rel=publisher only on the home page, however ALL my other WordPress Pages and Posts have rel=author. Does that sound correct?

Good idea to include links in Facebook posts teaser-text?
Hi guys, I'm wondering; is it a good idea (for the engines primaliry) to include links with targeted keywords in facebook posts. From a user perspective I would say it's not desirable. But I'm wondering how Google and co treat links which they find there. They are nofollowed, yes. They are indexed however but when I want google to show me the text-only version of the cached page I receive an 404 error which is odd. Anybody else getting the 404 from google? Eg. clicking on this cache-URL: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:jsC_26QVKbgJ:www.facebook.com/echoonline/posts/156674087731661+site:facebook.com/echoonline&cd=3&hl=de&ct=clnk&gl=de&client=firefox-a and then on "text only" leads to this page which does not exist: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/echoonline/posts/156674087731661?_fb_noscript=1 Looking forward to your ideas on this topic.

Newspaper SEO: How to go about link building for news websites
Newspaper SEO is tricky business, primarily because of the way you deal with Keywords. So far, I have been unable to find a comprehensive guide to newspaper SEO via SEOmoz, although I'm a big fan and this website has actually made my career! So, my question is, how do you go about building links for newspaper websites, what keywords should you use and what link building strategies would work?
