Starting blog need feedback needed

Hi
I am planing to start two blog about the same product. One blog will be about reviews and other product related information which will be from well known authors or organizations etc. On second blog, i will be adding detail information about the same product and specification of that.
I am just wondering if you guys have any suggestion for me.
-
Are these "Blogs" going to be under the same TLD? I would suggest doing one property that focuses on everything about the product: reviews, information, application stories, etc. that way you can create one giant ball of authority on everything that has to do with that product. - If tracking in google analytic there are ways to split out and see what type of content is contributing the most to the bottom line.
-
Off course they will be linked with each other, however i am thinking to split them in order to do see the user flow. I mean which one is getting more visitor trust is just information or product itself. But still open for suggestion. So i can make one good one.

Why will it be two blogs if it's all about the same product? It may be worth looking at just one blog but tagging topics so people can find what they are after quickly

I work on a uk decorating website with five of our own bloggers all of which reside on the home page of the website on their own separete blogging urls as sub domains - is this a good idea or would google not like this from an seo point of view?
Should blogs that are part of an overall content site be on separate sites and link in or is it ok to promote them as content on the home page of the site and take users off to their own url to view the site. Is this good practise for seo?

For link building, I started to post on guest blogs I'm new to posting on guest blog and I would like to know what are the most important metrics to look at when selecting a blog? The P.A. ??? I did a few test and this is what I did: in the Goolge-BLOG tab option search for K.W like: ''furnace filters'' ''air furnace filters'' Look at Google results and (MozBar is installed on browser) slect blog with P.A. of 15 or higher Read the post and if I have a relevant content to add, post on the blog and had my infos, store url... We are contemplating whether to put a blog on our site.
The reasons we want to put one up is obviously for SEO reasons but since we are a small business with limited resources the higher ups are worried that we will start strong but slack off. Some feel that it's worse to start and not keep up the blog as it gives an unprofessional vibe to google and other users. I maintain that I will try to keep it up to the best of my abilities and that it's better to have something than nothing. What do you feel and do you have any experiences in this?

Does having blog on subdomain weaken primary site's SEO?
I have a Joomla site with a WordPress subdomain that I'm wanting to use as a learning center. It's far more simple for new blog editors and publishers to learn that over Joomla. The issue I'm facing is trying to figure out rather having the blog put into the primary domain instead of a subdomain will hurt my ratings at all? Where I got the idea that it may hurt ratings is due to how (from what I understand) search engines will see a subdomain slightly different than the primary domain. Thank you for any help!

Best places to get pictures for blog posts?
Well I'm really sick of reading people questions saying "help my sites been affected by penguin" So I thought I would ask something about blogging, where is the best place to find and buy pictures for blog posts? I already use Wikimedia commons. But I'm interested websites that have a bigger range that aren't too pricey. What do you recommend?

Tools to Eval Blog Content - Rate your Fav tool
Ok, so I know that is has been covered in depth and at the risk of being sent to “google it!” (Which I have done with no success) I thought that I would ask your opinions on the topic. What are the best content marketing evaluation tools? By this I am specifically referring to tools that evaluate the content of Blogs, etc and not the performance of the blog, etc. I’m eager to hear your thoughts of what works and if you care to share what tools did not. Thanks
