XML Sitemaps for Property Website
-
Hi all,
I was hoping that someone might have a link to a good example of an XML Sitemap for a large property (real estate) website?
Thanks in advance to anyone who does!

Hi there
I would also add here that you can look into a sitemap generator which will update and maintain your sitemap for you so that you don't have to manually do so. This can be quite tedious, especially if you are handling multiple listings and adding/removing them, so having a generator can hugely benefit you.
This is a great time saver! Hope this alleviates a bit for you - good luck!

Hi Gavin
I hope Zoopla is big enough for you!
http://www.zoopla.co.uk/sitemap.xml
And here is a downloadable version:
http://www.zoopla.co.uk/sitemap.xml.gz - found from within their robots.txt file. http://www.zoopla.co.uk/robots.txt
Hope this helps!

Hi Gavin,
Just look at any sitemap that you can find as they'll all look the same and the only thing different would be the URLs in there. I doubt that sites will really have it different from others. You can check our sitemaps for example here: http://thenextweb.com/sitemap_index.xml

Google Website title not showing correctly
Hi Im not sure what triggered this - Page title is showing up as 'Isagenix Australia' while it should be <title>Buy Isagenix with 30 Day money back guarantee & Free Shipping in June</title> Previous title was 'Isagenix Australia - Read Isagenix reviews & buy isagenix products' but now it seems to have a mind of its own. Any suggestions would be helpful

Is Disqus as good for SEO as a built in comment system on your website?
Disqus is a simple tool you can use to easily get comments up and running on your website. Does it have the same value as a built in comment feature such as a Wordpress blog or does Google not attribute the Disqus comments to the websites content as it would for Wordpress?

Amazon powered e-commerce website automatically generates page titles. Is there an alternative?
Greetings fellow Mozzers, So the product pages pick up the product name and convert it into the page title by default. The development company says this is an Amazon limitation and we can't set custom page titles for product pages. Is this the case? The official documentation from Amazon does not seem to suggest so. Would greatly appreciate any feedback from the community. Thanks, Rishad.

Appropriate SEO strategies for a website's own SERPs?
Hello all, What are good on-page SEO practices for the search result pages on our own sites? For instance, what page titles do you use? Do you include page numbers? Meta-descriptions? Headers? Keyword utilization? This is a consideration for us as we link to some popular search results on our sites. Thanks!

What is the best practice for optimizing international websites? We operate a .co.uk and .com and obviously content is similar.
We have two (and soon to be more) international websites, all in English. The sites in question are WebHostingBuzz.com and WebHostingBuzz.co.uk. Obviously content is similar as we're providing a similar service but from different locations and different prices. What is best practice here? Should we completely re-write the .co.uk content (this is the newer site) so it isn't penalized for scraping? Any hints/tips would be appreciated.

Are xml sitemaps still in use today?
Hi, Are you still using XML sitemaps today? If yes, does it bring any benefit to your website like faster indexing of webpages or better rankings? Are you using special features like video sitemaps or sitemap index files? Best regards, Tobias
