How do I work out which term is more commonly searched, workforce productivity vs workforce efficiency
-
Trying to discover which one people are more likely to plug into a search engine.
-
Yes those tools are good and the comment about intent is right on the money too. [Apple might have a high search volume, but that's not necessarily as helpful as you might think, if you are a fruit seller.]
One thing I like to do when looking at various keywords is to put them in Moz's keyword tool and see which sites are ranking.
This tells you something about intent (the sites that rank highest for a search term are likely to be the most closely aligned with user intent) and about competition (the tools shows you some metrics about the ranking domains). It doesn't help to pick a term with a high search volume if the competition is way out of your league.

John's right, but you need to work out what the search intent for each term is - and presumably pick the one that more closely matches your goals - this video is worth a watch: https://mza.bundledseo.com/blog/google-may-use-your-behavior-to-impact-search-rankings-whiteboard-friday

There are several methods - adwords keyword planner - or I use semrush.com. If you use semrush, it allows you some free searches. You need to choose your country that you are focusing on. A site for useful tools is website-tools.net - that provides a few more.
Let me know if need any more assistance.

Unsolved Search Visibility
Hi,
Moz Pro | | Avery123
Recently one of my clients had search visibility of over 3%. Within one month that number dropped all the way to 0. We also had many keywords ranking in the top ten that are now not ranked at all. Does anyone know why this may have happened?0 -
Discrepancy between backlinks (opensiteexplorer vs. search console)
Hey there, when I check in search console for "Links to your site" and "your most linked content" I see incoming links pointing to the wrong (country and language) subdirectory? When I check those same backlinks with opensiteexplorer they seem to point (after redirects) to the correct subdirectory. Anyone out there with similar experiences or thoughts on this? I would be happy to give access to search console if you wanted to have a look at this. Search Traffic Declining
Hello, My search engine traffic has been declining recently - I saw one decline last August and another this past April. I'm trying to figure out what caused the decline and would love advice on where I should start digging. Any recommendations would really help me! Thanks in advance. Jodi momsfavoritestuff.com

Is the on page optimization tool not working?
i received a grade f for one of my keywords/page. i corrected some of the points but when i tried to submit the form again, it doesn't check off those corrected items. is there something wrong with the tool right now? also, how does the tool work if i'm targeting 2 different keywords for one page? e.g. digital marketing philippines and digital marketing agency philippines I'm pretty sure one of the keywords will have problems with at least 3 critical and high importance on page factors (broad keyword usage in page title, exact keyword usage in page title, etc.) is there an effect if there's a critical factor left unchecked because using both keywords in the title might look redundant?

I have a Rel Canonical "notice" in my Crawl Diagnostics report. I'm presuming that means that the spider has detected a rel canonical tag and it is working as opposed to warning about an issue, is this correct?
I know this seems like a really dumb question but the site I'm working on is a BigCommerce one and I've been concerned about canonicalisation issues prior to receiving this report (I'm a SEOmoz pro newbie also!) and I just want to be clear I am reading this notice correctly. I presume this means that the site crawl has detected the rel canonical tag on these pages and it is working correctly. Is this correct?? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks

Inbound Link Discrepancy: Campaign vs Open Site Explorer
Hello, I am getting starkly different inbound link amounts from Open Site Explorer and my Campaigns tab. Domain 1
Moz Pro | | truckguy77
Campaigns: Total links = 10,895,942 Open Site Explorer - Links = 224,000 Domain 2
Campaigns: Total links = 25,670,287
Open Site Explorer - Links = 157,000 Why would these be so different? For reference, the "Historical Domain Analysis" shows these sites getting exponentially more links starting in February. This is of concern to me. I didn't do anything different in February to get so many more links (especially not in the millions). If anything, I am hoping the "Campaigns" section is simply wrong about this.0 -
How long should "Term Extractor" be let alone to complete??
It's been left alone to grind now for a good 20 mins, and ah... it's still grinding away. Is it worth just trying again? Or does that typically mean it probably isn't going to work on the domain it's, ah, grinding away on? Thanks

Any ideas about using research tools data to create client interest in dedicating marketing spend on SEO services vs their other current antiquated marketing methods?
I consult in the dental industry. Many professionals in this industry are operating in the dark ages when it comes to marketing. Any ideas about using research tools data to create client interest in dedicating marketing spend on SEO services vs their other current antiquated marketing methods? I am approaching potential clients to pitch SEO. They aren't necessarily seeking SEO services currently but have a strong marketing budget. I would like to use seomoz tools data about their site and competitors as way to show possibilities/potential of SEO services to gain interest in further discussion of SEO benefits.
