-
Hello Webmasters,
My Name is Dinesh. I am working with Commerce Pundit as Marketing Person. We have one question with one of the website and would like to get the more idea on it
We have one page or category name with "Engraved Photos on Wood".
Here is page URL: http://www.canvaschamp.com/engraved-photos-on-wood-plaques
So my Question about the content which we have added on this page. We have another team and they are handling marketplace department and they are using same content from the above page of website to do listing onto below Marketplace website. Refer website listing which are done by our marketplace team and where you can see that they guys have use the same content of form the above website page as a product info or description of the listing.

http://www.amazon.in/dp/B01000JG6I
http://www.amazon.in/dp/B01003HT6YDoes it create Duplicate content Issue with the our Website?
Can marketplace team use the our website content onto various marketplace website to do website?
We are every serious with the Organic Ranking for our website. So do let me know that is this right way or do we have to ask to them to stop this activities?
Waiting for your reply
Thanks

I agree with you Umar,
We don't have to use Full content of website..we can rephrase the words or we can write unique for each page for the marketplace team.
Thanks

Hey Dinesh,
It might not hurt your site because of the fact that Google indexed your page first so the content appearing on your site will be rated as the "original" but due to the authority and strong presence of these sites if I searched your phrases, most proboably these will appear in search results instead of your website.
I'd suggest you to rephrase the wording slightly if you can not produce original content and go with fresh content on each marketplace.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,

Do I use H1 tag for logo or page content?
Should the h1 tag be used for the main page content or the logo? I understand the original method was too H1 the logo with the main search term, does this still hold true or should it be content focused?

Domaim.com/jobs?location=10 is indexed, so is domain.com/jobs/sheffield
Whats the best way you'd tackle that problem? I'm inheriting a website and the old devs had multiple internal links pointing to domain.com/jobs?location=10 (plus a ton of other numbers assigned to locations) and so they've been indexed. I usually use WMTs parameter tool but I'm not sure what the best approach would be other than that. Any help would be appreciated!

301 vs 410 redirect: What to use when removing a URL from the website
We are in the process of detemining how to handle URLs that are completely removed from our website? Think of these as listings that have an expiration date (i.e. http://www.noodle.org/test-prep/tphU3/sat-group-course). What is the best practice for removing these listings (assuming not many people are linking to them externally). 301 to a general page (i.e. http://www.noodle.org/search/test-prep) Do nothing and leave them up but remove from the site map (as they are no longer useful from a user perspective) return a 404 or 410?

Can a Hosting provider that also hosts adult content sites negatively affect our SEO rankings on a non-adult site hosted on same platform?
We're considering moving a site to a host that also offers hosting for adult websites. Can this have a negative affect on SEO, if our hosting company is in any way associated with adult websites?

Redirecting www.example.com to www.example.com/directory/
Hi All, There's been some internal debate going back and forth about redirecting the homepage of a site to a directory. There are a few different POVs circulating, one of which is that it's no different than redirecting to a /index page. Basically, the homepage is ranking for the keyword that we want the directory to rank for but I can't seem to justify placing this type of redirect. The content on both pages is different, but for the term both the homepage and the directory make sense to rank. Has anyone ever done anything like this before? Can anyone see any reason to do something like this? I believe this move would dilute the link value we currently have going to the homepage and potentially cause us to lose our #2 slot with the homepage in favor of a lower spot with the directory. I'd love to hear any thoughts on this/learn if anyone has experimented with this tactic. Thanks in advance!

Can obfuscated Javascript be used for too many links on a page?
Hi mozzers Just looking for opinions/answers on if it is ever appropriate to use obfuscated Javascript on links when a page has many links but they need to be there for usability? It seems grey/black hat to me as it shows users something different to Google (alarm bells are sounding already!) BUT if the page has many links it's losing juice which could be saved....... Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.
