We are wanting to refresh old posts on our blog and schedule them to get “republished” to the home page of our blog on a future date. However, when we edit the “Published” settings date and set it to a future date, the post gets removed from the blog and put back into a “Scheduled” status. Many of these posts are “evergreen” and bringing in traffic so we don’t want to have them get removed from our site.
So to recap, we need the ability to be able to reschedule already published posts to get “re-published” back on our home page without having them get removed from the site.
Does anyone know of a plugin or solution to this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

You could use "Duplicate post" plugin to clone your posts and then schedule those cloned posts.

Hi There
I don't know of a plugin or easy way to do this. Your best bet is to just keep an organized spreadsheet or list of what content you want to 'republish' when and go in manually on that day and update the date.
EDIT: If your desire is to feature certain posts on the homepage, you could also reconfigure the homepage to show featured posts you specify.

I would improve the articles and then create a script or HTML that allows you to put them anywhere you want. Once the articles are improved, you could also create a custom HTML module that links to the best ones or most recent, then style them differently to help them stand out.
I am assuming that you want them to stand out because you are placing them on the home page, correct? I would NOT just dump a most recent feed (or even that of your old articles that you are trying to get new traffic to) on the home page. I would style them so that the module stands out, and then only link to THE MOST HELPFUL articles to your users.
For example, if you offered marketing, you wouldn't want to link to a post that has some generic info about a Google update just because it is the most recent. You most likely would want to link to a post that explains how you can improve your marketing in some way, or a post that details potential downfalls of a certain type of strategy. Another idea would be to link to a list of the "Best marketing advice of 2015" or something like that. With a plugin, you may have less control over what shows up, and when. For the homepage, I would want to use only the most powerful content I have, and be able to display it the way I want.
This sounds much more appealing than fighting with a plugin to get it to do exactly what you want, but then again I like the manual approach

What are you really scheduling if it's remaining online until the date when you want to "post" it? What you're asking for essentially is for an ability to schedule a change in an existing page's post date for some time in the future. This isn't really going to help you with SEO, and might actually hurt you in terms of duplicate content. It certainly isn't practical if you're putting dates in the permalinks.

Thanks for the answer.
It dose indeed but it's removing the post if it is scheduled for a future date. And if that date is 6 months from now we lose it until it will get reposted.
We are looking fora solution that a post can be scheduled some time in the future but it will stay online until that date comes.

Standard wordpress installation with zero plugin can do what you described, I suggest you read docs and search for info directly on https://wordpress.org/support/

Just to be more clear on it: we want to edit, improve older articles with fresh new content and updates not just change the date but we also do want to keep the old URLs as we have a lot of social exposure on those and direct links. (and yes, we did take into account the 301 as a solution but we will lose the social shares).
So dose anyone knows a solution or a plugin that can do that ? (as if we take a post from 2007 and set it up for dec 2015 we are losing the old one until it will get published in dec 2015.
Thanks !

SEO impact classifieds website
Hi, I'm part of an organization running a classifieds platform in Spain. (Mercadonline.es) We are hit by Google penalties since a few weeks, possibly caused by numerous errors we are experiencing. Most frequent errors are 404's and duplicate content (titles tags etc) since the nature of our website is dynamic. Many ads change daily, are added or removed, causing Googlebots (and others) to flag us and not being able to see our more unique content. Until what part of our platform should we be indexed? Since we have +34,000 pages indexed (mostly due to internal filter pages) I would need a systematic solution for us to display relevant and unique content, with enough usage of keywords that can bring us back up - we are actually ranked <50 on google for most of our main keywords. It is costing us precious time and money since we can only aquire our visitors (adwords etc) and not being to attract any organically. I can go in more detail with someone who can give me a bit more direction. Your answer is much appreciated! Ivor

Duplicate Content on SEO Pages
I'm trying to create a bunch of content pages, and I want to know if the shortcut I took is going to penalize me for duplicate content. Some background: we are an airport ground transportation search engine(www.mozio.com), and we constructed several airport transportation pages with the providers in a particular area listed. However, the problem is, sometimes in a certain region multiple of the same providers serve the same places. For instance, NYAS serves both JFK and LGA, and obviously SuperShuttle serves ~200 airports. So this means for every airport's page, they have the super shuttle box. All the provider info is stored in a database with tags for the airports they serve, and then we dynamically create the page. A good example follows: http://www.mozio.com/lga_airport_transportation/ http://www.mozio.com/jfk_airport_transportation/ http://www.mozio.com/ewr_airport_transportation/ All 3 of those pages have a lot in common. Now, I'm not sure, but they started out working decently, but as I added more and more pages the efficacy of them went down on the whole. Is what I've done qualify as "duplicate content", and would I be better off getting rid of some of the pages or somehow consolidating the info into a master page? Thanks!

Advertising and negative impact on SEO
On one of my sites, I've been trying to get the word out by contacting blogs and asking them to share my site with their readers. This has resulted in some free publicity for my site, as well as quite a few paid reviews/sponsored posts. Note, however, that I've never paid for links, just reviews of my site... When I started this about 2 months ago, my site was a PR3 and getting fairly lowsy organic search traffic (i.e. 30-40 visits a day from Google). Then a few days ago, my PR dropped to 1. I didn't worry too much though, because my organic traffic was still around 30-40 visits a day. Now today, I checked and I only had 1 visitor the entire day from Google. Obviously I've been penalized. My most important question is, what can I do? Do I have an recourse, or do I need to just shut the domain down and move elsewhere? Second, wtf is Google penalizing this? I understand the argument against paid links, but should I not be allowed to advertise my site? Apparently I can buy links all day long through Google and they'll happily take my money, but the minute I pay some poor blogger to write an article about my site to their audience, I get penalized? Please help, I can't believe I just destroyed one of my sites like this!

Huge and sudden fall in SEO traffic
Hi, I’m writing you because we have noticed in Google Analytics account, a huge fall in the SEO traffic of mywebsite, starting suddenly in one precise day. The difference between this day and the previous one is: -46,36% . Traffic has fallen in all parts of the site in the same way. Some details: - we did not make any relevant change to the website - we haven’t been banned by Google (or we don’t have any message about it in GWT) - the number of the landing pages remains approximately the same - the number of indexed keywords falls from 9.000 to 4.000. - around 2 weeks ago we found out around 120 pages with 404 error, but the error now is solved and the pages are currently working we open the content to Google about 4 months but still we have not published our Site Map. I know that the 404 error could could affect the indexation, but do you have any other idea, apart of this, of what could have happened? Thanks!
