Allowing Guest Posts on Website
-
I am planning to allow Guest posts on my website blog where authors or writers can post articles to my blog. All content will be manually approved by me. But i would like to know if guest posts will cause any harm to my site or is it good way to generate content. Another thing as guest posts will be having do-follow links & author section too will be up. So firstly i would like to know whether its a good step or not?
Would even like to know what checks should i do before approving a guest posts?

Hey Jawahar,
Thanks for posting your question. Guest posts will never harm your blog if you follow these guidelines:
- Content is fresh, detailed, unique and optimized.
- It's well-written (in terms of grammar) and meant to educate users.
- There is nothing wrong in giving do-follow links if the site "really deserves" it. So make sure to double check every outbound link in the post.
- Make sure to use images with credits or with permission.
- It's up to you how many links you want to give away from each post but avoid any commercial anchor texts links.
- It's better to accept the authors who have previously contributed in that niche but if the author is new and the pitched topics are interesting, give them the chance as the new bloggers sometimes can be beneficial.
Hope this helps!

Website dropped out from Google index
Howdy, fellow mozzers. I got approached by my friend - their website is https://www.hauteheadquarters.com She is saying that they dropped from google index over night - and, as you can see if you google their name, website url or even site: , most of the pages are not indexed. Home page is nowhere to be found - that's for sure. I know that they were indexed before. Google webmaster tools don't have any manual actions (at least yet). No sudden changes in content or backlink profile. robots.txt has some weird rule - disallow everything for EtaoSpider. I don't know if google would listen to that - robots checker in GWT says it's all good. Any ideas why that happen? Any ideas what I should check? P.S. Just noticed in GWT there was a huge drop in indexed pages within first week of August. Still no idea why though. P.P.S. Just noticed that there is noindex x-robots-tag in headers... Anyone knows where this can be set?

Schema.org Data Appears on Website
Hello Moz World, I would like to incorporate Schema Data onto my website. My website has Meta tags in the of the document, which incorporates our keywords. And, in the footer, I have my businesses address, logo and other relevant information. Everything flows because it is stylized using CSS. When I input the schema.org data it appears on the website as text w/ a hyperlink. See Code: My Company

Phone: NUMBER I've tried to put it inside the head, body & footer of the HTML code. I want my website to show up properly through Google Structured Data Testing Tool however, I don't want the text to show up on my website not stylized. It sticks out like a soar thumb no matter where I incorporate it. My questions are; Should I even bother with Schema.org? And, is there a way to incorporate it into my website so it does not show up and Google can still pull it up? Thanks ahead of time for all of the awesome responses! B/R Will H.0 -
Website Migration and SEO
Recently I migrated three websites from www.product.com to www.brandname.com/product. Two of these site are performing as normal when it comes to SEO but one of them lost half of its traffic and dropped in rankings significantly. All pages have been properly redirected, onsite SEO is intact and optimized, and all pages are indexed by Search engines. Has anyone had experience with this type of migration that could give some input on what a possible solution could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

API to power all websites
I spoke to one of my lead web developers and we are planning on powering all of our desktop, mobile and tablet sites with our new API. Everything will be populated through javascript and is cloud-based rather than through actual HTML. How do we incorporate all of our SEO?

Where would you advertise for a quality Guest Poster
I'm looking to find a high quality writer who understands SEO and the art of Guest Blogging/Posting on really good quality sites. Sites like Life Hacker etc... My Question is... Where would you advertise this job? I have tried People Per Hour in the past and never really found anyone and I find My Blog Guest (Guest Blog - Whatever it's called) to only really have low quality sites on there. What would you do? Cheers

Guest Posting Good or Too Spammed in 2013
Hi, Some of the Gurus and Associates have indicated that guest posting is the "Directories of today." There are some posts from last year about this in the Q&A, but what is the most recent thought if guest posting on quality sites should be avoided? Thanks.
