Moz's Spam Score - WWW v Non-WWW

Given that going with a www or non-www TLD is a coin-toss in Google's eyes, I'm curious as to how this relates to Moz's spam score (if at all)? Specifically, we've got a client who has several sites across a number of industry verticals, and for some of them, the www and the non-www versions of their websites are both in play (sigh). Obviously we'll sort that out shortly, but my question is why, when we put both TLDs into Open Site Explorer does the www and the non-www version of the sites get different spam scores? With some of their sites (www v non-www) the difference in the spam score might be a 2 for the www v a 3 for the non-www. But in others it might be 0 for the www v 8 for the non-www! And it's unclear which one is the 'real' spam score, as there seems no rhyme or reason to the results.
Anyway, any thoughts from the room would be appreciated.

I would guess its related to your issue "www and the non-www versions of their websites are both in play" meaning that MOZ is crawling them both as separate sites and you will have different links going to the www version than you will the non-www version, which will give you different spam scores.
It would be good to compare the link data that MOZ gives you between the two URLS, downloading the CSV of both and having them side by side in one spreadsheet might be easier, this should give you an indication of what links are causing the spam score to be higher.
I would also suggest loading both www and non-www versions of your website into Google webmaster tools if you haven't done so already.

Solved Moz Link Explorer slow to find external links
I have a site with 48 linking domains and 200 total links showing in Google Search Console. These are legit and good quality links. Since creating a campaign 2 months ago, Moz link explorer for the same site only shows me 2 linking domains and 3 total links. I realise Moz cannot crawl with the same speed and depth as Google but this is poor performance for a premium product and doesn't remotely reflect the link profile of the domain. Is there a way to submit a sitemap or list of links to Moz for the purpose of crawling and adding to Link Explorer?

i have seen the "Metrics over time" page, but it only shows 1 year of data.
There is a website which provides DA history for 2+ years but i'd like to use moz or it's api directly

Moz Pro Tools Inbound Links
Is there a way to get a date of when a inbound link was created from a external website. And if so is there a way to add that to the Moz Pro tools reports on a csv file.

Can't make sense of OSE and MOZ.
I checked this site on my OSE and it shows only 7 inbound links a DA of 14 and no social activity whatsoever yet when I check it on Majestic it shows ExternalBacklinks 71 ReferringDomains 20 Referring IPs 19 Referring Subnets 19 . And.. the page is #1 on google search for hypnotherapy michigan. How can it rate so poorly on MOZ, show so much more on majestic and rank so high on google? I thought MOZ data was supposed to be among the best and that top rated pages on google should also rate high on MOZ. here is the site http://hypnotherapy-detroit.com Additionally, when i look at the site, i notice that most of the backlinks are exchanged links and this site's link exchange page isn't even linked from the home page. Now I thought that kind of link exchange game was now discounted by Google. I don't get it. No social pages at all... low page rank... no new content.. so by MOZ standards there is no justification for this page to be anywhere near page one let alone at position #1. Can someone help me make sense of all this?

What's the Story on Mozscape Updates?
Hey gang, As you may be aware, we were considerably late with our last index release. You have my sincere apologies for that and the apologies of the entire team. In the interest of transparency, I want to try to explain what's been going on. Since stepping down as CEO, I've been asked to take on a few roles in the company. One of those is product architect (basically the product owner) of our Big Data team, who produces the Mozscape link index. For several years, that team has been almost exclusively focused on getting us closer to a near real-time indexing system that does not have scalability issues. Mozscape is currently smaller than our major competitors, and we're also often slower. Our metrics (PA, DA, MozRank, MozTrust, Spam Score, Social Data, etc) have been the unique value we provide, but it's not enough. We need to be competitive on size and freshness. Building a raw link index (without processed metrics like PA/DA et al) is hard, but it's possible. Building a link index with those metrics is really tricky, and requires computer science knowledge and skills far beyond the scope of my understanding. That's what our team's been working on, and they've made some progress, but it's been slow, hampered by unknown unknowns, and materially hurt by a lack of experienced talent we can hire to help (we've had open job posts for years now). In the meantime, our historic Mozscape index structure keeps encountering challenges - this latest round is still somewhat unexplained (we believe there's hardware issues compounded by how the system is architected to handle large domains, but there may be other issues). The team's struggled to split time between keeping the old Mozscape running and hunkering down to finish the new system. I'm trying to help them balance things as best I can, and we're going to be putting effort toward making sure we get index releases out on time. However, to do that, we'll need to scale down size, and then rebuild back up. We think we can do this while also improving the prioritization of which links we crawl (e.g. deeper on important domains that link out, less so on deep pages that don't link anywhere) so the index overall improves. However, I don't want to minimize the risks - we may have some slow updates, some smaller indices, and some less-than-ideal data in the next one or two indices while we work to remedy this issue. I HOPE we don't, and that things actually get better immediately, but we can't promise that until the work gets finished. TL;DR - Mozscape V2 is in development and will let us as big and faster as any link index. In the meantime, current Mozscape's having issues & we're making smaller indices in an attempt to diagnose and repair. Does Moz allow you to upload your disavow to take into account when analysing links?
I was wondering if moz allows you to upload your disavow file and if it has a consideration in the data supplied? Otherwise how can we accurately use moz to understand the true analytics of our site?

Do 'Just Discovered' Links get added to the main link index?
Hi, I was wondering if the 'Just Discovered' links get added to the main link crawl index? It would seem to make sense for them to do so, as this would enable the enable the link index to be more up to date than it would otherwise be. Observing the link index it would seem that at the moment it does not do this and they are totally separate indexes (based on personal observation). Thanks
