Moz Pro for Local Catering Company?
-
Is Moz Pro or Moz Content useful for a local catering company? I've started a trial to try to determine if it will benefit us. Our new site will be up next week so we don't currently have traffic. We will be using some Adsense and direct mail campaigns to get started, but not sure if Moz local will be sufficient.
Please help connecting the dots.
I know it would be good to rank higher for example "Catering Tahoe, Ca." But how would Moz help me see what kind of content to create for a local catering company? I'm not sure a blog article makes sense.

Thanks for your responses! I think I will start with Moz Local and go from there, and look into Pro/Content as we get things moving along.

Hey there! Moz Pro and Moz Content can definitely be helpful, depending on your SEO goals.
Moz Pro will let you track keywords both locally and nationally, as well as provide traffic and site error data. However, if your interests are limited to local keyword tracking, you might also find use in our Moz Local add-on service, Search Insights. This will provide traffic data and local keyword data (as well as let you aggregate reviews across different sites). The cost is relatively lower than Moz Pro, so if you don't need such robust analytics software you might find it more suitable. You can learn about Search Insights here: https://mza.bundledseo.com/help/guides/local/local-reporting
Moz Content, on the other hand, is really about performing content research for your site. If you have a blog or articles that you host, you can run an Audit to find out what's resonating with your audience and give you ideas about what to produce in the future. It also features Content Searches, which lets you look for popular articles about particular topics that you search. If you have a Twitter or other social media profile, you can use it to find articles to share with your audience! Moz Content offers some free access, so I recommend heading over there to see if the tool is useful for your needs. You can find Moz Content here: https://mza.bundledseo.com/content/
I hope that helps!

Hi Nasoj,
Moz is a good tool for you for numerous reasons. Without traffic it doesn't have much to show but from the day you go live it will help you with: (local!) rankings, insights on potential keywords, evaluate competition, suggestions on set-up/content for landing pages, crawl errors, linkbuilding and more...
Question: Why would you be using Adsense on your site? It makes it less trustworthy for visitors and Google. Unless you mean Adwords?
Good luck with the launch of your site!

Moz says my pages don't have rel="canonical" but they do
Hi, I've just had my initial report from Moz and it says my pages are missing rel="canonical". I'm using the Yoast SEO plugin on my WordPress site which adds these automatically. I have also checked the source code for my pages and can see rel="canonical". What has gone wrong please?

Moz not recognising url to setup a new account
I am attempting to setup a new account for my client but Moz is having a problem and not registering the url http://www.esc.uk.net/. I get the "oops" message & read the info on the FAQ page it refers to. Why do I keep getting an "Oops" message when I type and submit my campaign URL? To create a campaign, we need to receive a valid HTTP response from the web server hosting your site. While the site may be accessible from a standard web browser, other user-agents and search engine bots may receive a different response. If you receive this error, we recommend running a test by sending an HTTP response using any online HTTP tool. Using an online HTTP tool I believe I received an HTTP response. What else can I do? Regards Terry

Getting started with moz
Hi i use to be a user of SEO moz before the change to just Moz, however i am struggling to navigate around and work on campaigns. I need to know what steps to take methodically from setting up a campaign, keyword research, competitors and monitoring SERPs results. in addition improving the page grade reports and analysing keyword difficulty. Whilst Moz assist you to set up some of this initially when creating the campaign i feel it doesn't seem to take you through a logical methodical step process of configuring in depth the steps of ensuring the correct settings are relevant to the campaign i.e. an outline of the steps and i need to take that follow on from each other and getting your campaign completed. for example: create campaign keyword research onpage optimisation competitor research link finder analyser run reports that related to the info provided above I feel lost in the features of moz whilst i can see they are highly beneficial putting them to use in a chronological order to ensure the the correct setup and make use of these tools. i.e. where to start and where to end currently i feel i can only find where to start and what i should do after that to make use of Moz fully is somewhat missing. Thanks in advance, any links and direct appreciated, i would alsolike to possible speak to a Moz team member regarding my account setup if possible.

What do Pro Subscribers Get that Free Users Don't?
I've been playing with my new account here on Moz, and I'm trying to figure out what Pro subscribers get that Free users don't get. Is there a page somewhere that lists the differences? I Googled, but couldn't find one.

How do you "Moz Crawl" a website? Newbie...
Hi everyone; I've used Screaming Frog in the past and it's simple: you enter the URL to the box and click "start" and.. voila: as the button says, the crawling starts. I've had the Pro version of Moz for a while now and haven't really 'done' anything with it. I'd like to crawl a website and thought it would be as easy as it's always been with Screaming Frog... but, for some reason, I can't find the 'way' to do it. I find it really frustrating especially cause I feel like an idiot going around in circles thinking I'm missing something really obvious... Until I realised the only solution was to ask here! So... how in the world do you crawl a website using Moz tools? (Pro version) Thanks!
