Possible bug in Crawl Issues report?
-
Hi all -
My crawl issues report shows 3 pages with missing titles. These are just google verification files and the robot.txt file - shouldn't these be excluded?

Wow that is interesting. Thanks for the info and direction Lynn. I will look into that.

Hi Matthew,
I think you will find that those urls are included in your sitemap.xml and that is why they are being crawled. They are also being indexed by google - you can search for the name of the verification files and they show up in the results. Remove them from the sitemap and you should be ok!

Crawl tests stuck in queue
I have tried to run a number of crawl tests recently for our client's sites outside the US and they have been stuck in the queue for over a week. 3 of them completed, but then 5 are stuck. Anyone experience this? I haven't seen anything about crawl tests having issues right now.

Moz Crawl only crawling the top level page (1 page)
For the past few mounts my weekly site crawl has been inconsistent. One week works fine, it crawls all of my 500 or so pages. The following week it only crawls 1 page (http://mydomain.com) and nothing else. A few weekly scan go by and the crawl is back up the the 500 or so pages.I went ahead and created several campaigns with duplicate settings and crawled the site. Most times but not all the new campaign's crawl works fine crawling all pages. But within a week or two the weekly crawl will fail again. (crawling 1 page). Currently i have four campaign's all with the same settings running weekly crawls. 2 campaign's crawled the 500 pages and two crawled only the single page. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Different Errors Running 2 Crawls on Effectively the Same Setup
Our developers are moving away from utilising robots.txt files due to security risks, so e have been in the process of removing them from sites. However we, and our clients still want to run Moz crawl reports as they can highlight useful information. The two sites in question sit on the same server with the same settings (in fact running on the same Magento install). We do not have a robots.txt files present (they 404), and as per Chiaryn's response here https://mza.bundledseo.com/community/q/without-robots-txt-no-crawling this should work fine? However for www.iconiclights.co.uk we got: 902 : Network errors prevented crawler from contacting server for page. While for www.valuelights.co.uk we got: 612 : Page banned by error response for robots.txt. These crawls were both run recently, and there was no robots.txt present. Not to mention, they are on the same setup/server etc as mentioned. Now, we have just tested this, by uploading a blank robots.txt file to see if it changed anything - but we get exactly the same errors. I have had a look, but can't find anything that really matches this on here - help would really be appreciated! Thanks!

Crawl Diagnostics: How many pages (deep) will it crawl for dup content
Does anyone know how deep the crawl diagnostics will crawl when searching for dup content? Will it crawl the entire site, or will it only crawl "x" amount of pages? Thanks!

Why is the exact same URL being seen as duplicate and showing an error in my SEO reports
Well, I am still having duplicate page issues. I have a question about one of the errors SEO is giving me when I download a crawl report. I am going to attach a screen shot of part of the report so you can see for yourself, along with explaining it here. SEO shows the list of URL's that it crawled in the report. In this(see attachment) portion of the report it has 321 results for the exact same URL. It also says all of these exact same URL's have received a 404 error. What I want to know is how does it make 321 results for the same URL? And with this error that I don't see when I look at the page? 0hkRDST

I'm checking keyword difficulty for two different sites. Would love to view the results by site instead of just one large list. Is that possible? Or would it just be easier to keep the lists separate in Excel and just import when I want an updated report?
I have keyword lists for two sites. Is there a way to label them in the keyword difficulty tool (List A, List B) so I can just view results for a particular site? Or do I need to run the report with List A, export results, delete those keywords, then run the report for List B?

Ranking report in Pro Campaign Not Accurate?
I have been running ranking reports on my pro seomoz account for a couple of years now. I recently added a lot more keywords to my list. Unfortunately there now seems to be a problem. It shows that many of my keywords have dropped out of (and climbed in) the top 50 when they actually haven't. I think it's just missing the keyword out and assuming that it dropped. I'd prefer it said "Not checked". Anyone else with a similar problem? or ideally a solution at my end... Thanks all!
