Alternative to Moz Content?
-
Hi,
Looks like moz content is really gone
Does anyone have an alternative that does sort of the same thing?
-
Hi Jason,
Like Thomas and Sean, I think a lot of BuzzSumo. It's a product many brands have come to trust for content ideation and insight. I think it has the most value as a tool to see what content types you might want to consider for your vertical, in addition to helping you better discern what competitors are doing that you aren't.
For me, BuzzSumo is a great starting place, especially for brands who're eager to nail three key elements of content marketing:
- What content is performing best across the web, and why?
- What content is performing best in our vertical?
- What types of content performs best?
I'd certainly recommend giving BuzzSumo a try. It's an excellent product.

if you were a Moz content user and paid for it obviously you get 50% off of BuzzSumo for six months I believe.
I wish they would keep it around me honest I like it I was going to recommend scribecontent.com but they are now only offering it to hosting subscribers.
I would use

Hey Jason,
Check out something like BuzzSumo if you haven't already - it's a pretty powerful database of content marketing metrics and should help you understand what content has worked previously within your niche and why.
It's also got a pretty hefty influencer database which you can freely extract, even within the free trial period.
Failing that, I think Ahrefs has an almost identical content/influencer database which can be freely extracted also.
Regards,
Sean

Hi Jason,
Though Tawny has already suggested an article for you to check the other options.
From your profile, it looks that you haven't really participated in the Moz community yet. I would suggest getting involved in the community for some great content marketing ideas and references to content marketing tools.
Feel free to respond if you have further questions.
Regards,
Vijay

Accuracy of Moz Keyword Tool
I understand that no search tool is entirely accurate, but I'm seriously beginning to doubt the accuracy of the Moz keyword tool search volumes for keywords. For example: I entered "largest police departments" and it says 0-10 per month in the US, despite the fact that that term is directly responsible for 200 hits per day. Many alterations of that keyword come up with 0-10 or not determined. This is not a small error -- and it repeats over and over for other search terms that I have already ranked for in the US. It's gigantically inaccurate in a massive scale.

How do you use Moz to research related topics?
Like most of the folks here I'm a pretty big fan of the content that comes out through Whiteboard Fridays, and I try to apply the things I learn, but one of the WBF videos that I'm following along with does not do a stellar job of detailing execution using Moz KW Explorer. https://mza.bundledseo.com/blog/related-topics-in-seo-whiteboard-friday Now granted, this came out in 2016, but I still feel the core principle and strategy results in a higher quality piece of content and is still relevant to discovering and understanding searcher task completion requirements, and drafting content that fulfills those requirements. Towards the end Rand sort of mentions that you'll be able to do this with KW explorer, but I'm not really seeing the functionality. The steps I followed were to enter in the keyword in kw explorer, went to keyword suggestions, and selected "based on closely related topics" and ran it, but received no suggestions - came up blank. I then selected "based on broadly related topics" and the same thing happened. I tried this out with the keyword r22, keeping it very broad to start but that didn't seem to work. So what do you all do to perform this sort of research within Moz? Or do you even feel it's relevant in today's Rank Brain driven world?

Moz Pro Question: Does the amount of keywords you are allowed to search reset each month?
I am a Moz Pro subscriber and I really love the new Keyword Explorer tool. One question I have that I couldn't find a clear answer was regarding the number of monthly keyword queries. Do they reset each month? I hope they do.

On Page Grade - Moz Analytics
When I go to search overview I can see my on page optimization grades, but when I try to use the on page grade optimizer for different keywords and url's I get the error. "The URL you entered does not appear to be returning a page successfully. Please make sure that you've entered the URL of valid, working page." However, I know it is a valid url and I get the error even if I use the same url and same keyword I can see the grade for from the search overview. Also, if I try to regrade the page nothing happens and where my previous grade and analysis was located I now have nothing. Any information about why this is happening? Thanks for the help.

Why do the crawl diagnostics indicate duplicate page content among blog postings hosted by WordPress?
Does anyone know why the crawl diagnostics indicate duplicate page content regarding the blog we are hosting on WordPress? And does anyone know how to fix this issue? The content is not, or does not appear to be duplicate.
