GWT and internal link emulation
-
Hi,
I have a gwt site - www.whatiswhere.com. I have tab control which emulates the menue. I am planning to put <a>links instead of text into tab labels to create internal links. I am thinking to add java script to onclick event of</a> <a>otherwise i will get to the new session of GWT site. What I want is to just change the tab but at the same time have a link for the crawler. Would my approach work? Will it be equivalent to non-follow link? Will it improve the ranking comparing to 'no link at all' case?</a>
<a>Thanks,
Andrei.</a>

I'm definitely not an SEO expert, so I don't know the best way to go about setting up your site. Hopefully one of our lovely community members will have some thoughts that can help you out!

Links and images in custom css are not recognised by Moz Toolbar or Yoast plugin
Hi, I am building a website in Wordpress and when checking the pages through Moz toolbar or Yoast plugin, I notice that these don't recognise the internal links in custom CSS and the images neither. Here some code to clarify how it is built: [vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][ultimate_heading main_heading="Veldrijden" alignment="left" main_heading_margin="margin-bottom:20px;"][/ultimate_heading][vc_single_image image="6497" img_size="full" onclick="custom_link" link="http://k488239.hosting.kinamo.be/activiteiten/veldrijden/"][vc_btn title="Meer info" color="mulled-wine" align="left" link="url:http%3A%2F%2Fk488239.hosting.kinamo.be%2Factiviteiten%2Fveldrijden%2F|||"][/vc_column] The links are embedded in images and in 'More info' buttons. Also the internal links in the main website navigation are not recognised, but the normal a href links are recognised. For the images it is a little different: the alt text from the images gets recognised by Moz, but Yoast says there are no images on the page. The only thing I can think of that there is no 'a href' in the links and for the images that it has something to do with the page builder. Can this effect my SEO results? Thanks.

Moz Top Pages and Tool Bar Not Crawling Internal Pages and Links
Hello, We’re having two issues with our Moz tools and we’re not sure what’s causing them and whether they are related. The Moz Bar isn’t highlighting some of our internal links (including navigation links). The Top Pages Report in Open Site Explorer is only picking up the homepage and a couple error pages (none of the internal pages). The full Crawl Report is picking up everything though. Could a potential cause of both these issues be the Title attribute in some our links? – We use <a <="" span="">title="Example" href="link"></a> <a <="" span="">Or is this most likely from something else blocking the crawler from accessing our links/pages? Google Search Console does seem to be picking up the links in the navigation and everything is indexed/rendered correctly so we also didn’t know if this is something that could be issue. Any insight or help would be appreciated. Please let us know if there are any details we could provide that might help. Looking forward to hearing from all of you! Thank you in advance. Best,</a>

URL Link Counts
Hi Can someone clarify what the URL link counts in the SERP report means? Is this total internal links on this page? My followed internal links are very high compared with sites I am comparing against, some sites only have 1 internal followed link - is this possible? Have they simply no followed all the rest on that page?

External links that don't exist
I did a crawl test and it shows that there are 2215 external links on my home page here: https://www.playshakespeare.com An "External Link" is defined here: https://mza.seotoolninja.com/researchtools/crawl-test "Number of links on a page that point to a page that is not on the same domain as that page." There are NOT 2215 external links on that page. There are only a handful at any given time. Why is the crawl test reporting thousands over that?

OSE Missing High Profile Linking Root Domains
Hi All, I have noticed that Open Site Explorer does not appear to be totally accurate in the linking root domains it shows for a given site. For instance, I have a site that I know for a fact is listed on dmoz (and has been for far longer than last Mozscape update), which should show up near the top of the stack. What gives? Do you think that this is also affecting my projected DA, PA, etc? Thoughts and theories welcome.
