My site is not ranking at all.
-
Can anybody check it what is the main culprit behind my website's growth?
-
Thanks for investing your time mate. No, I didn't experience the traffic drop with any algorithm update. As I mentioned, I had shifted my site from .in to .com and also with that, server locations got changed. When I had .in domain, it was ranking and I was quite satisfied with the rank. I was ranking 5 out of 1 articles, but now, It not happens.
I've noindexed those pages, because they were not adding any value to my ranking and site, instead causing the duplicate issue problem.
Do you recommend me changing the current domain name? Any help would be appreciated.
-
I didn't realize that you wanted those pages to be noindexed.
We brought it up because from what we can see, it looks like you only have a few pages indexed.
How many pages does Google Search Console tell you they have indexed?
Sometimes content pruning (deleting or noindexing pages) can be good. But it's also possible that it can hurt you if you've noindexed some pages that were ranking and driving traffic to your site. Not only do you lose the traffic they had but you lose their PageRank value to your site and any internal link value to other pages of your site.
Also, you mention that you want to get your site back on track. When did you see the traffic drop? Was it around the same time as some changes you made to your site? Did it coincide with a major algorithm update?

Before I was changing the domain, I knew the terms So, I redirected it to the current domain and later, removed the old domain permanently. And I don't get this, How come noindex urls affect the Overall SEO?. I'm just confused. I don't want those urls to get indexed, because they were causing the duplicate pages issue. Could you clarify that why noindex tags can affect the indexable urls?.
-
Well your biggest problem is that fact that the bulk of your site is noindexed.
You should run your site through ScreamingFrog to find out which of your pages are noindexed and fix that.
I manually clicked through a few dozen pages and found that the following pages are all noindexed:
- https://www.10stuffs.com/brands

Also did you redirect your old domain name to your current domain name?

I've designed it, but not the whole site. And you'r seeing the handful of posts indexed on google because, I've recently submitted some posts to noindex for some reason. I don't think by searching for term like site:10stuffs.com will give the accurate results, that's because, when typing a url separately, results are the same.
There is no duplicate content, no copied and also I don't see any technical issue. The reason could be the hosting servers, as I had different locations earlier and also I had changed my domain name once.
Other than that, I don't think there is any problem. What do you think and please do suggest me what to do to get my website back on track.
My articles used to be indexed instantly but all of a sudden, they are taking days to appear in the search result.
I write news based contents so, fast indexing the is the matter of some concern to me.

Running a quick "site:" search on your website, I can see that there are a handful of pages that are indexed. I can also see that you only have 2 posts up and they were published very recently. Additionally, a few elements on the menu are not linked to any pages. So I'm wondering if the site is relatively new or has been redesigned recently?

I am lost at where to go. My optimization rating is 95% + and rankings are on pages 4+. I would like to know what I should do to increase my rankings.
My site is Glare-Guard.com. My Domain Authority has not moved from 17 in a long time. i have done everything to optimize the different pages. I have 90%+ ratings for the various pages, yet I am still not even close to the first page for many of the keywords I am looking to rank for. Do you have any tips or ideas? Should I try to rewrite my content and add more information? I am just at a loss for where I should go to get the right traffic to my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Splitting One Site Into Two Sites Best Practices Needed
Okay, working with a large site that, for business reasons beyond organic search, wants to split an existing site in two. So, the old domain name stays and a new one is born with some of the content from the old site, along with some new content of its own. The general idea, for more than just search reasons, is that it makes both the old site and new sites more purely about their respective subject matter. The existing content on the old site that is becoming part of the new site will be 301'd to the new site's domain. So, the old site will have a lot of 301s and links to the new site. No links coming back from the new site to the old site anticipated at this time. Would like any and all insights into any potential pitfalls and best practices for this to come off as well as it can under the circumstances. For instance, should all those links from the old site to the new site be nofollowed, kind of like a non-editorial link to an affiliate or advertiser? Is there weirdness for Google in 301ing to a new domain from some, but not all, content of the old site. Would you individually submit requests to remove from index for the hundreds and hundreds of old site pages moving to the new site or just figure that the 301 will eventually take care of that? Is there substantial organic search risk of any kind to the old site, beyond the obvious of just not having those pages to produce any more? Anything else? Any ideas about how long the new site can expect to wander the wilderness of no organic search traffic? The old site has a 45 domain authority. Thanks!

Our quilting site was hit by Panda/Penguin...should we start a second "traffic" site?
I built a website for my wife who is a quilter called LearnHowToMakeQuilts.com. However, it has been hit by Panda or Penguin (I’m not quite sure) and am scared to tell her to go ahead and keep building the site up. She really wants to post on her blog on Learnhowtomakequilts.com, but I’m afraid it will be in vain for Google’s search engine. Yahoo and Bing still rank well. I don’t want her to produce good content that will never rank well if the whole site is penalized in some way. I’ve overly optimized in linking strongly to the keywords “how to make a quilt” for our main keyword, mainly to the home page and I think that is one of the main reasons we are incurring some kind of penalty. First main question: From looking at the attached Google Analytics image, does anyone know if it was Panda or Penguin that we were “hit” by? And, what can be done about it? (We originally wanted to build a nice content website, but were lured in by a get rich quick personality to rather make a “squeeze page” for the Home page and force all your people through that page to get to the really good content. Thus, our avenge time on site per person is terrible and Pages per Visit is low at: 1.2. We really want to try to improve it some day. She has a local business website, Customcarequilts.com that did not get hit. Second question: Should we start a second site rather than invest the time in trying to repair the damage from my bad link building and article marketing? We do need to keep the site up and running because it has her online quilting course for beginner quilters to learn how to quilt their first quilt. We host the videos through Amazon S3 and were selling at least one course every other day. But now that the Google drop has hit, we are lucky to sell one quilting course per month. So, if we start a second site we can use that to build as a big content site that we can use to introduce people to learnhowtomakequilts.com that has Martha’s quilting course. So, should we go ahead and start a new fresh site rather than to repair the damage done by my bad over optimizing? (We’ve already picked out a great website name that would work really well with her personal facebook page.) Or, here’s a second option, which is to use her local business website: customcarequilts.com. She created it in 2003 and has had it ever since. It is only PR 1. Would this be an option? Anyway I’m looking for guidance on whether we should pursue repairing the damage and whether we should start a second fresh site or use an existing site to create new content (for getting new quilters to eventually purchase her course). Rankings dropped - Why?
At the end of November a client site dropped significantly in the rankings. The drop effected almost all the keyphrases we monitor. Historically the homepage has always ranked higher than the sub-pages - however now it seems Google is no longer ranking the home page, and instead ranking the sub-pages, just far far lower down. Any ideas what could cause this?

Aggressive Loss in Rankings
I recently launched a website and used local directories, web directories and guest blogging as a means of getting links to the site. Within 60 days the site was ranking on the first page for a highly competitive keyword. It was hovering on the first page for about two weeks before it plummeted in ranking to near 200. I am not finding any crawl errors or duplicate content issues on the site. Could my links have caused this massive decrease in rankings?
