Different ways to write the same tyre dimension
-
Hello fellow MOZers,
Im having a bit of problem of targeting all the different ways a user could type in their tyre size to google, and what we should put in our meta titles.
For instance, We have a page called "205/55 R16" Which seems to be the most used and competitive in SERPs. But this could be written in a number of ways "205/55 R 16" and "205/55R16" I expected all these different ways of writing a tyre dimension to give you the same results in google which isnt the case, We rank in very different positions for these 3 searches. Google also sometimes corrects you sometimes for example "205/55 R 16" google might decide that you meant "205/55 R16" and rather than the usual (Did you mean:....) it shows you results for what google thinks is the right way (205/55 R16) We want to target these 3 ways of writing a tyre size not just the most common.
Sooo, my question is how should we be doing our meta titles, would (205/55 R16 | 205/55R16 Tyres - Longstone Tyres) be classed as keyword stuffing? and if so how do we go for the term"205/55R16", using
s? and would that be classed as stuffing?
I mentioned 3 ways to write tyre dimensions, but in realty there are many more. See i would've thought google reads the numbers and ignores other characters in between when it comes to all types of dimensions and sized of things, but this doesnt seem to be the case.
Any thoughts and advice on this would be massively helpful,
Thankyou

Same content different URL - Google Analytics other Options
One of my clients came to me today asking to mirror their current website and host it on a different domain (i.e domain.com and domain.ca). Their reasoning is that there is no actual way to confirm via form entries from their website which visitors are submitting the form from an organic perspective and which ones are submitting the form through an Adwords ad campaign referral they are running (which I have nothing to do with). I know Google Analytics will show you visits to pages on a site and then you can find out which source (organic vs. cpc) they came from, but it won't confirm the source on the actual form entry. So my client feels the only way to find out this information would be to mirror the website so that the separate analytics would validate their Ad spend. Does anyone know of any tools that I could use for something like this? I do NOT want to mirror the website as I am fearful of duplicate content and the YEARS of organic SEO work I have put into this website going to waste. The other element I should mention is the client only wants to have this "mirorred" site up for 2 months. Any thoughts, suggestions and arguments for a mirorred website are welcomed! Thanks!

Is there an automated way to test what HREFLANG is ranking for in google and yandex?
Hi everyone, We implemented HREFLANG code for our international sites. We are wondering is there an automated way to test is HREFLANG is working vs. manually browsing in each international search engine? Also, we implemented this a few days ago, and google webmaster tools stlil hasn't picked up that we have it implemented. I've heard it taking anywhere from 2-8 days. At what point would we see results. our site is http://www.datacard.com Is there an order that the site listings have to follow, for example should x-default be the last item listed? Thanks, Laura

Can you canonical your homepage to a different URL on the same domain?
I would like to know if it is acceptable (or even possible from Google's standpoint) to canonical your homepage to a different URL on the same domain? For example, my homepage is www.grasscare.com (it's not) and I've built links to that page for years for terms like "grass seed" and "buy grass seed" because all I sold in the past was grass seed. If I then decide I want to sell both grass seed and sod, can I canonical my homepage (grasscare.com) to a new URL www.grasscare.com/grasss-seed.html to preserve the link value I've built up for "grass seed"?The new homepage would turn into a doorway page of sorts, forcing users to select either grass seed or sod before going further. Whatever content there is on the new homepage about grass seed would also be present on grasscare.com/grass-seed.html, though it would only be a small amount of content. Can a canonical be used to point the homepage to this new page and also, will this canonical pass all of the link value and ranking signals it help in the past to the new URL? Thank you in advance for any help or insight.

What is the best way to scrape serps for targeted keyword research?
Wanting to use search operators such as "KEYWORD inurl:blog" to identify potential link targets, then download target url, domain and keyword into an excel file. Then use SEOTools to evaluate the urls from the list. I see the link aquisition assistant in the Moz lab, but the listed operators are limited. Appreciate any suggestions on doing this at scale, thanks!
