Unsolved Website Traffic
-
Greetings All. I'm working on a new business website for a client, and I've been accessing the site numerous times daily (troubleshooting, confirming changes, etc.). I've been using Google search to access the site, and I use a VPN so that my IP would be random. So I would presume that the site traffic should be increasing. But on the last Moz Pro crawl, the site traffic was still listed as 0.
Is there a minimum amount of traffic required before Moz recognizes it or is something else going on?
Thank you. -
Website traffic refers to the number of visitors a website receives within a particular period of time. It is a key metric for measuring a website's success and popularity. Increasing website traffic often requires strategies such as search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, social media engagement, and paid advertising campaigns. By effectively executing these tactics, businesses can attract more visitors to their websites, which can lead to increased conversion rates and sales.

is this info still relevant for now?
Gotta say, using a traffic bot sounds like a tempting shortcut, right? But here's the thing: while it might give your numbers a quick boost, it's like putting a band-aid on a broken leg. Sure, it might look good for a moment, but it won't fix the real issue. Plus, search engines like Google are pretty savvy these days - they can sniff out traffic bot from a mile away, and that's not gonna do your site any favors in the long run. My advice? Focus on building genuine, organic traffic through killer content, SEO magic, and engaging with your audience. It might take a bit more time and effort, but trust me, it's worth it in the end.

Hi depaw,
If you are referring to Moz Pro, you need to connect the Google Analytics account and confirm that it is active and properly set up. If you're still not seeing traffic data in Moz Pro, it might be worth reaching out to Moz support for further assistance.
With Google Analytics connected to Moz Pro, your Campaign will gather even more insights for your site within the Site Traffic and Landing Pages sections of your Campaign.
Remember, the traffic data in Moz Pro is a reflection of what's in Google Analytics, so ensuring that data is being accurately collected there is key.
Hope that helps

I’d like to set up a Moz campaign that crawls just the primary website, not subdomains
Is this something you could help with? (it either bombs or crawls everything, so I assume I’m missing something in the campaign settings, or it’s just not possible.

Before making improvements, I need to collate the most relevant custom report to snapshot our current website quality.
I've just started at a company and before I start working on content and SEO improvements I need to assess 'where are we now' . The idea being after 3-6 months I can repeat the report to show improvements. Moz has an enormous range of powerful analysis tools - which should I combine into a Custom Report to create a snapshot of current website quality? Thanks

How do you "Moz Crawl" a website? Newbie...
Hi everyone; I've used Screaming Frog in the past and it's simple: you enter the URL to the box and click "start" and.. voila: as the button says, the crawling starts. I've had the Pro version of Moz for a while now and haven't really 'done' anything with it. I'd like to crawl a website and thought it would be as easy as it's always been with Screaming Frog... but, for some reason, I can't find the 'way' to do it. I find it really frustrating especially cause I feel like an idiot going around in circles thinking I'm missing something really obvious... Until I realised the only solution was to ask here! So... how in the world do you crawl a website using Moz tools? (Pro version) Thanks!
