Regex in Analytics for longtail content
-
I have spent quit some time now, trying to figure this out. I wannt to segment landingoage traffic to the longtail content. That's content in the 3rd or 4th subdirectorylevel. I would like to do that by saying google: "Just show me traffic that arrives on landingpages with 3 OR 4 slashes "/"
But I can't get a solution, can anybody help in the seoMOZ community?

A very handy guide here on regex specifically for this kind of thing, with a bit of tweaking you can also filter right down to number of words in the phrases too if you want to (handy if you are looking for more specific conversion phrases)

Ok, I have to admit, this answer is not my own. I "borrowed" ok, I stole the answer from Tom Critchlow. Your question was very intriguing so i took the time to research an answer for you.
Here is the regex string that will segment traffic according to the number of slashes in an url.
^/([^/]+/){3}[^/]*$
This specific regex segment will show urls with 5 slashes. You can play around with adding and subtracting slashes untill you find the perfect string for yourself. Here is a link to the article where Tom talks about this topic.

Problems with analytics, conversation data and assisted conversions
Hi guys. Having issues with analytics. Firstly, it doesn't record all our sales accurately. My boss downloaded a sales report directly from our site, and it doesn't match up to the analytics, our actual sales were significantly higher than Google analytics was reporting (by about a 1/3). Any idea why Google is missing so many of the conversions? Also, I'm trying to work our how many assisted conversion we are getting from our ad words campaigns. I've been looking through our top conversion path data to try find conversions that started with a paid click. However, I seem to have some inconsistencies. We have only one ad words group that is on the display network (Re-marketing V1 Ad group 1) , and according to analytics we have a conversion from it (See Screen shot 1). However, there is no record of this in our ad words data. (See screen shot 2). This is over the same time period. I don't know what to take from this. Can anyone help? Isaac. But I don't have the best criteria for select each one. What are the best options for a content site and for a e - commerce? Otherwise, I wanna know which is a good bounce rate for a content site? And what is a good Avg. Page Load Time (sec)? Thanks in advance.

Magento and Analytics - Unique purchases tracking
Hi guys, My ecommerce site is on Magento and in order to integrate it with Google Analytics, I enter my GA account number on the Account Number field in the backend. What surprises me is that some purchases are not tracked at all. So for the month of may GA shows X unique purchases when Magento shows x+5. Can this occur because the customer leaves the site before the confirmation page is shown? Thanks. Regards

Transferring Google analytics accounts
Hi, Does anyone know if you can transfer an Google Analytics account. We are looking to take over a new clients existing website and the analytics account is registered to their current web designers. Is it possible to transfer it to the client so that their existing web company no longer has access and they keep all their historical data, or do we have to start from scratch. Thanks Fraser
