Ranking accuracy

On one of my campaigns the ranking in SEOMoz for a search term at Google UK is 34, but when I run an analysis using different software it gives a ranking of 8.
Search the term on Google and 8 is correct, not 34.
Why should this be?

No I'm in UK and so are my clients.I've set my campaign to report on Google UK
I had a trial version of Link Assistant's SEO PowerSuite and it reported everything accurately.
Wondering whether to change to it and dump seomoz

Is 'they' SEOMoz?
The ranking report's been like this for months and I've ben reporting back to my client based on it. I think I've covered myself, but reporting a ranking of 34 does not look half as good as 8!
I've started looking for some alternative SEO software/reporting systems.

I have the same problem with Bing Australia, i reported the issue, but they have not got back. There was a big problem with the index last month, they may still hhave a few problems

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? Rankings UP, rankings DOWN - why?
Last week, I had 14 keywords go up and less than 5 go down. I was so thrilled! Except this week, I had 10 go up and 14 go down! How can I figure out what is going on? I am up and down 30+ spots with Google. I'd really like to stay up. My site is pretty new, just a few months. I am still fiddling around with settings trying to follow all the advice I read. (robot meta tags, title tag) I didn't change any content in the last week. Does SEOmoz analyze the ranking data?

Page Rank - logarithmic or exponential
Possibly a really stupid question. Is Page Rank logarithmic or exponential? I've seen a lot of people talking about Page Rank saying it's logarithmic but when they describe it they're actually talking about an exponential scale. (Apologies if I'm showing a basic misunderstanding in mathematical knowledge - I studied Drama)

Google.co.uk & Google.com difference of ranking
How can our website rank on page 3 in google.co.uk and yet it ranks on page 20 for the same keyword on google.com? This doesn't seem to affect our competitors though and its only our site that is being affected/penalized.

My rankings are up and down like a Yo-Yo. Any ideas why?
One of the companies that I work for sells the latest smartphones. It ranks fairly well for key terms in an extremely competitive field. Recently the rankings of one particular handset have been extremely erratic and do not follow the pattern of other products, I am wondering if anyone can offer some insight as to why this is happening? When the handset was first announced, it ranked fairly well (20th). This is good when you bare in mind that it is an ecommerce site competing with top tech sites. Prior to release, the ranking gradually declined to 33rd. I believe this may be due to reviews being publsihed (as a result of review handsets being sent out prior to release) as Google has started to favour reviews and news updates. I have seen a similar pattern with other handsets, reviews and news are favoured by Google prior to release, but once the product is available, my rankings rise and remain on the first page provided that links are still coming in. However, the rankings of this handset dropped from 27th to below 50th upon launch. The next week the ranking rose from >50th to 7th, dropped to below 50th again the following week, rose back to 9th the week after and has now dropped again to below 50th. These are by far the biggest changes in rankings I have seen on a week to week basis. The page has a strong link profile in order to achieve such a high ranking in the first place. With this being the case I have no idea why ranking can drop off so much in the space of a week? Update: I forgot to mention initially that I have the variant listed twice, one for each colour variant. All content is the same apart from the colour being altered in the appropriate places. This has not been a problem in the past, but perhaps it is due to recent changes to Google algorithm?

2 weeks ago I had a massive spike in keyword rankings 99 keyword went up. It was a quite happy week. the week later all keywords that went up dropped down to the same positions before the spike. now I have the same situation. this is the happy week with a very high spike.
