RE: Why I'm I ranking so low on Google Maps
Biggest thing I am seeing is on maps your address is listed like this "1849 Upper Wetumpka Rd, Montgomery, AL 36107"
However on your site it is listed like this "1849 Upper Wetumpka Rd; Montgomery, AL 36107" I have seen before where having a small difference like you have after "Rd" can lower the ranking on maps purely because the address in not exactly the same. Seems dumb but I had it happen to me on a site recently. I would change each of the address listings on your site to match how maps has it listed. Hope that helps.

RE: Transferring old articles to new site even if they are written horribly
Well in my mind the first step would be to have a really solid 301 redirect strategy. Moz has a great article here regarding redirects. I say this because the slightest name change or location change can cause a 404 error. Secondly I would focus first on the content that is most valuable to carry over first. Thirdly and lastly I would go through and evaluate the quality and relevance of the articles not receiving traffic and find out why. Then you can adjust to take calculated steps to generate traffic for these articles as well. So that long description was to say yes I would carry all the content over use your 301 redirects and canonical urls and adjust the content as needed to increase its value. Hope this helps!

RE: What does Mozcape actually do and what types of businesses use it?
Mozscape is the crawler that crawls and gives you the Moz rank, Page authority, Domain authority etc. It is used in both Site Explorer and in the Moz Toolbar browser ad on. Like Lesley said they provide a API that allows you to create your own applications based on this crawl data.
