People LIKE things on Facebok because they're already logged into their Facebook account 24/7. They browse Facebook all day, interact with friends and like each others comments, links, sites etc.

With Google people search for things and find them. There is no social interaction or a sense of people wanting to support each other. Most people use Gmail but aren't always logged into it and don't spend a quarter of the time checking emails compared to what they spend on Facebook.

I would block all tags until you create new content for each tag.

SInce it's wordpress you can create a tag php file and add content into it. Then you can add that tag to your sitemap and remove from robots.txt. That way you avoid duplicate content and boost the site with more seo friendly content.

You should create php files for each tag and just work on them one at a time.
For example you might start with tags-seo.php then tag-design.php and create specific content for those.

They already has 5000 404 pages. I don't mean block any existing pages which were changed.

I mean only block pages which always returned a 404

• Have you setup a Google Webmasters account?
• You should submit a sitemap to Webmasters. Info Here
• Also make sure all the 404 pages are blocked by robots.txt
• Add in a 301 redirect from all old content to the new content.
